The guy looks good in those highlights - reminds me a lot of S. Greene with the quick initial burst and the way he looks to hit Dbacks - but if he doesn't make the active roster than we'll know that the coaches obviously don't think he's ready. That said, if he's injury prone that could be a worry. TJ is the only one who was able to play for the whole season, and even he was on a bad knee towards the end. I hope our RBs can hold up better next year.
I like his legs alot, they never stop pumping, not if he's goin sideways, backwards, doesnt matter they never stop. BUT, i need to see this kid play in the pre season. In the highlights he never really had anyone touch him for 10 yards, so i still question his power and balance. But maybe a couple yards on the practice squad has paid off. Hopefully another talent we can add to our already loaded roster.
there has to be a reason this kid isnt on a teams active roaster so im figuring there is something wrong the coaches dont like. but w.e we will find out this off season what this kid has. lets just bring in as many ppl mark sanchez played with at USC to help him out even more lol
yo... this motherfucker's 40 time is 4.35. and he weighs 224 pounds. why the fuck is he not starting lol
If the Jets decide to part ways with TJ this season, which I am beginning to doubt, I would like them to get someone like Tashard Choice from the Cowboys. He's not a game-breaking power back and not really a burner, but a well-rounded back that can block in the backfield well and catch out of the backfield pretty well, and he can bridge the gap between a home run hitter like Leon and a brain-buster like Greene. Plus, he's pretty good at taking those direct snaps that Schotty likes to mix in. He's versatile. I bet we could do a straight-up swap - Choice for Rhodes.
really? only thing i could find was a 4.45 at his pro day http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=15712&draftyear=2008&genpos=RB
Is this the kid we got from the Cowboys in the mid-season? I remember we brought him in when Greene got hurt. I thought for sure he would see some snaps, but they ended up bringing him for ST purposes only and heard that he was pretty good back there. Nice highlight film. I wasn't aware he was oft-injured tho which really sucks because we already appear to have that problem with Greene. We don't need another of those as a replacement for Jones.
I love it, describes him perfectly. I dont think he likes to be hit, only problem is he doesnt have the ability to get around anyone. Bad combination..... Also, dont forget the two-step run into Faneca move.
nothing big... hamstring.. ankle... mostly nagging injury... I think with a good conditioning he could become much less vulnerable to those kind of things. For the TJ haters (I was one too at the beginning of the season so I hear you :wink remember that lately he played with a pretty banged up knee. I think he could still be useful for a season of two if he continues training as he always has. What he has to understand though is he can't continue to make the money he's made throughout his career.
Jones will be back....He's a team leader, a mentor to Greene and Washington, and he still has a lot to offer if they keep him healthy and fresh. The FO loves the guy. There will be some concessions/realizations to be made on his part, but I think he wants to finish out his career right here and he will make them. CW will probably see some field in the PS, but not sure about beyond that.....
