There are many threads to discuss wether you want it to happen or not and wether you love him or hate him... this thread is only to put toghether a serious evaluation of what we might get for him.

In my opinion the best we can hope for is a high 3rd rounder... maybe if teams start battling it out we might be able to obtain a 3rd rounder and exchange 5th round picks...

highly unlikely w can obtain a low 2nd... although you never know how these things go... like our 6th + Kerry for someone's second.

I don't want to trade for another player unless he's a CB, a young and promising DE or an Indianapolis Colts WR (give me Collie or Garcon :D).

There are talks about a Umenyiora - Rhodes trade but I wouldn't like that... the guy is coming off knee surgery and we need a young OLB, not a 30 yrs old one.

Is there any other starting FS bitching like KR is and in need of a change of scenery?

Also, what teams might be interested? Giants, Browns,...?

My best case scenario is 3rd rd + exchange 5th rounders and we pick our future starting safety in the first three rds of the draft.

With Revis, Leonhard, a high second rd CB (Wilson?) a third rd S (who could be there, I know this year is a deep draft for DBs) plus Lowery and Strickland playing nickel and dime and E. Smith filling in as the 3rd S on run support I think we could be looking at years of total domination for our DBs... I also wouldn't mind moving Lowery to S, or at least make him a CB/S, although I know some of you don't like the idea.

PS If you don't want to trade Rhodes you are welcome to say it but go discuss it in one of the other thousand threads, thanks

My guess a 3rd Rounder, with a conditional pick for 2011...maybe 3-5 range.

I'm guessing an RFA safety for Rhodes. Someone is going to throw a low draft pick in there, not sure which side. Depends on the safety.

The Best option would to try and find several suitors and try and get a bidding war going. Rhodes future might not be determined until draft day. I am guessing he is worth a 3rd and a 5th if we are lucky. I would like to get 2 picks for him to help fill holes that we probably are not going to be able to due to the free agency restrictions this year.

I think we could get an early 3rd, which I would take.

    1) Kyle Wilson
    2) George Selvie
    Early 3rd) Morgan Burnett

    Would be pretty sweet.

I don't think a 2nd is out of the question. Even a low second if we have to throw in a 5th or something...

Does anyone else hate the idea of conditional picks? Everything is a conditional pick now. It's stupid. You should just trade for a pick and that's that. I don't like the idea of being able to hedge your bets in a trade, I kinda think it's BS.

I think it's a great idea in principle because it make the deal more fair... if the guy is hurt/plays bad you don't coff up too many draft picks while if he plays well the team that gave it away gets a proper draft pick back...

What I don't like is the 1'000 clauses that are put in every contract to avoid coffing up draft picks (like the Vilma trade)...

I was on the Giants forum before and interestingly they have a thread about trading for Rhodes.

    One poster said this...

Re: How about Kerry Rhodes to fill a safety need?

who would you trade for Kerry Rhodes? Mario Manningham? Might be too much to give up since it looks like his stock is low. Rhodes would be an interesting addition. Would you have to give up a 2nd rd pick for him?

Here's the link to the thread
    http://boards.giants.com/forums/thread/1657668.aspx

They also had a thread titled: I wish we had a "Revis Island" of our own

    We're not getting Wimbley.

    I'd say a 3rd.
