According to Kerry: Rex wants me here. I have a decision to make. I want to be here. I have to humble myself. I want to be here, but sometimes circumstances change. Blah, blah, blah
He needs to shut the fuck up. Interesting note though from the end of the interview he says "I'm gonna be around". I dont know how to take that.
This guy can't humble himself, I caught a thing before the game where he was takling about his vertical on that onside kick he recovered. He is so full of himself he will NEVER reach his full potential and I think taht's what really pisses Rex off.
He was stuttering and contradicting himself the whole interview. He's an attention whore and I hope the team gets rid of him. Has a 5 minute segment on SNY to say, "The team wants me, I like it here, but let's see what happens" So if I'm reading into this right, he's lying. If the team wants him here and he likes it here, there is no ifs and or buts about him staying/leaving. This guy is going to Cleveland I hope.
They want me here, I want to be here. yada yada yada I gotta talk to coach and well see what happens.... Sounds like he wants to see how flexible Rex is to tolerating his attitude or maybe what team Rex would be willing to send him off too......Browns, Bills, Lions...that would "humble" him a bit...
ill never forget when joe beningo asked jon villa if he wanted to be here and if he was goin to be here vilma said "ill will be a jet next year" then midnight came and was traded haha...the same thing
Please oh please send him to the Browns and back into Manginii's loving arms! And give us a third rounder while you're at it
I hope Kerry is here next year. He is still better then most safeties. Another year in the system, he will be a much better player. I hope he stays
The host of the show: So if the Jets want you here and you want to be here, whats the problem? Kerry Rhodes: uhhhhh..... Host: Why would you want to leave the Jets, seeing as they're pretty good right now? Kerry Rhodes: I don't know, maybe I'd like to go somewhere bad and make the team better. Really? I don't see how the Jets can choose to keep him around. If you can't get him to practice, prepare and play the way you want during the season, why would anything he says in the offseason make you think he'll be any different next season? He also tried to brush off the physicality argument by saying Ed Reed wasn't exactly a Ronnie Lott 'in the box' safety either, he doesn't come up and crack down on halfbacks. The difference is, Ed Reed ranges across the field and lays big hits on wideouts to seperate them from the ball and prevent a catch. Kerry Rhodes doesn't do that. So there is a difference.
It feels like he knows he is coming back, but doesn't want to admit it because he'd rather have the media write about him for the next 3 months to make him relevant again
For those of you who can't read between the lines, Rhodes is a goner. He's played his last game as a Jet. Rex said he wanted Rhodes back, Rhodes didn't say the same. He wants a trade, he will be dealt. The question is to where, and what for....
The suit + him saying he wants to go to a team to make it better... mmm... could it be the Browns gift us with one more act of idiocy? If in the process they could give us Trusnik back I'd be delighted
