exactly what I was thinking, plus I heard Robinson was having contract disputes with the Texans which could make them want to trade him due to a "unproductive" year, just a rumor though.
Dunta is the only one that makes sense. He would have to be sign and trade, but he's a star unhappy with his contract on a team that needs what we've got: safeties and inside RBs.
I like Routt from that list as well. I think he's exactly what Rex Ryan looks for in a CB. Plays man-to-man coverage well and has great speed and size. It also makes sense to TRY to trade Rhodes to the Texans since they had a safety by committee situation there. I dunno if a Rhodes for Robinson straight up, trade can happen, but it makes the most sense.
I would LOVE Bodden here but the Pats aren't letting go of him unfortunately... Revis + Bodden would be huge and I hate the idea of that guy playing for Belidouche...
he's had issues with management. Remember when he was fined for having "Pay me pete (or whatever the GM's name is)" written on his cleats in regards to his contract squabbles.
what do you guys think about bodden? robinson might be a good pick up as well if 2010 is uncapped, why not sign some of these guys?
Here's the only question that matters right now: who is leaving as an UFA and will command a contract equivalent to what a #2 corner would want? Here are the the Jets' UFAs for this offseason: Out of that group, I don't see anyone getting us that kind of flexibility we need to bring in a UFA like Harper, Hood, or Lucas. We're going to have to wait for a corner to get cut if we get one through free agency, and we don't have the picks to give up for a starting RFA.
