Its really not that far fetched of an idea to have Pennington back cheap for Veteran presence and Helping out our young quarterback. Someone who knows the system we run and help Sanchez with his consistency and turnovers wouldn't hurt the team whatsoever. That's why this thread is relevant bud...
Except that we showed Chad the door for Farve which, he porbably isnt going to get over any time soon. Chad deserved alot better then this treatment.
Sanchez has what Pennington never did which is a rocket for an arm. What im hoping for is Chad(or another Vet) to Mentor Mark which we both know can benefit him and his career.
Well, I would rather have someone who can actually throw a football to the receiver if godforbid Sanchez actually does get hurt. ala Carr.
True. You are definitely right on that standpoint. And thats what we will see over the off-season if Chad can come to be serviceable and if not I agree someone like Carr and/or Redmann could be great back-ups. But my only question is Where would O'Connell come into the picture?
Fits our style of play perfectly, if the price is right i'm all for it. But due to him being injury prone we would still need a quality third string qb or be confident in who we already have.
If you're talking about 2007 then I guess you're right... And please change the Doug Brien avatar? It makes me hate you a little bit.
Pennington is a loser piece of crap Qb that is insanely overrated. I want him no where near our franchise QB who is developing quite nicely without Chad the loser. Why people still want him associated with the Jets is completely behind. He is and never was a good QB.
No he didn't. He deserved to be cut before the 2006 season. He completely sucks and Sanchez needs no veteran mentor. He already has as many victories in the playoffs as this clown. Keep him away.
Pennington doesn't want to be a backup, he's injury prone, he throws floaters and I'm pretty sure he hasn't forgotten the unceremonious ending to his last stint here. I like Chad and I wouldn't have an issue with him as a backup but I'd rather just get some other vet or keep Clemens.
BS. He once was a good, promising QB, but injuries and subsequent physical limitations became too much for him to overcome. It makes no sense to hate the guy.
Sanchez needs a veteran mentor. i could give a fuck that he won 2 playoffs games. The more knowledge he can obtain the better. Complacency=failure. That should sound familiar to all Jet fans.
Chad understands the business side of things, it would be a perfect fit if he came home to be mark's backup.
