No as a player, but once he does not have a job and finally realizes its over, I think he would make a great QB coach.
Daunte Culpepper AJ Feely Jeff Garcia Patrick Ramsey Chris Redman Kyle Boller JP Losmann:rofl: Josh McGown Mark Brunell Charlie Batch Not to Strong of a class
I would rather have a backup that doesnt have his arm held together by rubberbands and duck tap. Pass.
I like Ainge and O'Connell as backups, we have a QB coach to "teach" him. Clemens wasn't much of a veteran and Sanchez did fine, and Sanchez is only more experienced now.
Theres was also Joey Harrington, Tavarius Jackson, and Rex Grossman but i dont really consider them Veterans with such low playing time
I'm voting on the new and improved poll as well. < > No < > Not a Chance < > Not a Chance in Hell < > When Hell Freezes Over < > Hell No < > Fuck No < > Not on your fucking life no <x> It's a stupid Fucking idea no
it wouldnt happen unless he came at a reasonable price first off, and if he did come at a reasonable price tag, what exacftly is your reasoning for it being a stupid idea? unless brad smith really picks up the reps or something and is the backup qb thus saving a roster spot, i dont see who would be better back there...if your answer is to keep clemens then...i dont know what to say.
I would love to have him back but it's not gonna happen for two reasons, he is not happy with how the Jets treated him, and we are not gonna pay him or give him an opportunity to start.
If we can get him for cheap and it doesn't interfere with any of our other FA signings we plan on making, I'm all for it. If Sanchez goes down, I don't see a better option than Chad taking over at this point. He knows our offense and can manage a game.
that is one ugly mofo of a list. I guess if I HAD to choose it would be Feely. If I didn't think he'd be an asshole, I'd sign Garcia in a heartbeat.
Agreed... Sanchez can just be himself with some tips and input from the coaches...He got by this season and through the playoffs without a safety net, why bring one in now? Ainge has been here a couple years now and knows our system. He isn't costing us much cap wise and doesn't make any waves. As for your last line, really if you think about it, Mark has more experience in this one season then what Kellen has in his whole tenure here.
Yeah, the more I look at that list....I'll take my chances with Ainge. I dont want any of those guys rubbing off on Mark....
