They Said It : the week of Jan. 25 by PFW staff ~ ~ Jets QB Mark Sanchez, quoted in the New York Post following Sunday's 30-17 loss to the Colts in the AFC championship game: "I started making the decisions that a quarterback who makes it to the AFC championship game makes. I've still got a long way to go. I haven't arrived. I haven't figured it out. I haven't made it." Sanchez added: "We were almost there. I'm one of the luckiest guys in the world. That fire's still in there. It's burning, and it's hot." > http://www.profootballweekly.com/2010/01/25/they-said-it-the-week-of-jan-25 ~ as long as mark does not get injured ; imho , our QB dept. is set for the next several yrs

Why would Pennington have any interest to come back? Remember how we just canned him when we got the great Brett Favre? Not exactly the best exit we gave him...
Advice: "just throw it to the fullback, and remember the rule: don't throw more than 10 yards - trust me your completion % will go up..." This is the first year in a while where their isn't any sort of qb controversy
I can see Chad returning to the Jets as Mark's backup. Chad is mature enough to understand that this is a business and the Jets made a decision based strictly on business. It was not meant to be personal.
fyi : mark sanchez might have surgery this offseason to stabilize the patella ligament in his left knee, which was injured during college. he won't need any procedures on his r. knee, which suffered a sprained posterior cruciate ligament earlier this season.
