Didn't hurt us so much as it helped the Colts. That's home field advantage - what can you do?

Exactly. That is why they call it homefield advantage. They earned the right to play on their turf. I don't see this as an issue.

    Peyton is a damn God-

Our running attack is setup to wear you down, which we were doing. 70 yards early in the 3rd is right about when shit would start to open up.

Unfortunately we lost our fresh RB in Greene.

All in all the Colts run defense held out long enough, Mark then showed us what we can look forward to. That 80 yard bomb was an amazing throw, basically all arm because of his footing.

Good Luck, when Peyton was a young lad we won 41-0, so 30-17 is very respectable for the Sanchize.

Couldnt agree more with your statement. God this loss stings, just thought of being 30 mins away from a superbowl, in which i live 10 mins from the stadium, would have been pure nirvana for me. Mentally im drained, but god the skies the limit for this team. Never felt like this heading into the offseason

Think about it.... When Manning lost both those AFC Title game he was playing in snow/cold/rainy weather he is not built for an outdoor battle... I think it gives those teams a super advantage plus you close the roof and the sound of the fans goes up and it comes right back down because theres no where for the sound to escape

While I do prefer football that is played in the elements, this argument goes both ways. You have to be able to play in all environments. The dome factor may have been an advantage for them, but the way the game unfolded yesterday, thats near the bottom of my list. We still have some work to do....

I hate domes, I think it takes away from where football came from.

Especially the SB crap, being in a warm weather or dome stadium every year. This is the NFL not baseball or tennis.

They at least need to change that.

I'm from the old school, I hate domes, this is like arena football. Part of the charm of football is the weather element which has been stolen by domes and synturf fields...watch old NFL films, mud games and snow games were the best...

Imagine the Jets AND the Giants having home field advantage next year. NFL would have to do some rescheduling.

No issue with the domes... the NFL is a business and it thrives off offense. Like was said in an earlier post the 2001 Pats slowed down the Greatest Show on Turf (in a dome) The 2007 Giants slowed down maybe the greatest offense ever (in a dome) the 98 Falcons slowed down a 15-1 Vikings team (in a dome granted the Falcons were also a dome team)

All the way back to the OP before the thread was merged... thanks. Had Burt gotten the job (in what quite frankly would have amounted to the most unwatchable SB ever for me) I'd have been on your side. I've got a soft spot for Nawlins but I can't see how they beat you guys unless Manning melts down.

    Were you around for 1999 ? 1983 ?

    Same feeling both times.
