I call Tim Jennings TEN YARD TIM in that he gives huge cushions to opposing receivers. That Jacob Lacey the undrafted rookie will start and has started all year whether Hayden or Powers was out should tell JETS fans all they need to know about second round pick TEN YARD TIM. I'm sure in certain situations he will see the field which is bad for we COLTS fans. Powers was not activated in the last meeting either,he was resting a hamstring.
Braylon might not be the best deep guy in the game but he has been solid with stuff under 20 when he squares up. You lose a starting DB and have to bring in your 4th db to play nickel - could be a be factor if they can get the running game to open up and play action becomes a factor.
I would be surprised if he plays. Jennings will replace him and Tim is an average at best pass defender, but he can tackle very well.
Lacey will do just fine against sanchez. He started 8 games this year. Two of the secondary's starters, Powers and Bullitt were missing in the wk 16 game and sanchez couldn't do much. And that was with half of the pass rushing duo playing too. I'm confident in lacey, but Jennings is the worst player on the 53 man roster.
Edwards always gets open. Hopefully he can catch the ball when Sanchez lays it perfectly in his hands.
I believe Sanchez is gonna need to step it up this game, he needs to throw a good 25 times basically like last game, Braylon will make some clutch catches as long as they aren't over the shoulder "newspaper" catches. I believe in this team!!!!
Enough people have said it but I will add my two cents here too. For the Jets this is a game of first down. They need to consistently get 4 or 5 yards on first to shut the crowd up and keep the defense on its heels. Whetger that's by passing or running that's what they need to do.
Jerricho simply needs to be a machine on first down today. He needs to get open against a rookie CB and he needs to provide sanchez the ability to make it 2 and 4 or 5 where we can just pound the rock to move the chains...
