Airfare, hotel, and the rental car are all the easy part. Getting the tickets to the game is another story.

Just talked to a friend of mine and he has one for $2500 and supposedly it's a great seat. I may just go with stubhub and do the cheaper route. I can't believe none of my buddies in Miami can do better.

Okay, I have a stupid question:

The seller of some of the tix on sale says: "I won these tickets in the lottery. Pickup at the StubHub Super Bowl Hospitality Village on Gameday."

So what, exactly, are you getting when you buy a ticket for $2,000 or whatever? Are you getting a letter or a pickup stub or something, then you have to go to the Hospitality Village on gameday and get the actual ticket?

Two difficulties with that might be:

    a) A line out the ass on gameday and
    b) What if something goes wrong and you're standing there and they tell you the letter you're holding is no good.

I mean, obviously, you'd have recourse back with StubHub if the tickets weren't obtainable, but has anyone ever had any experience with doing it this way. And is this pretty much the accepted way of entry now or do they still print the hard tickets.

Inquiring, novice fans who have never been to a SB (like me) want to know.

one option i have is my friends brother goes almost every year. he has dough though and my friend said he can get me tix no problem.but they are expensive. what expensive means i dont know till sunday nite monday morning.

also if i buy these "expensive tix" i know they are legit which is somethig important. ease of mind i guess.

but what if i buy them and then i win the lottery????

There are no 'tickets fast - paper printed' tix for the Super Bowl.
They all have a holograph of some sort on them so as not to be counterfeited.

Then some desperate schmuck will buy them from you at a greatly inflated price and you will have enough beer money to last you until breakfast on the Sunday.

Just got off the phone with StubHub. Figured I'd get it straight from the horse's mouth. Just getting ready in case. Here are some valuable tips that I learned if you're planning on going the StubHub route:

    1) The seats that are labelled "TBD" are that way because the seller has no idea whether they are in the first row or last row. This is why they are cheaper. Could be last row EZ, could be first row EZ (although I highly doubt it).

    2) I was STRONGLY advised to buy a parking pass if purchasing tix. Before you consumate your purchase, you will be offered a parking pass at $35 at the end of the sales process. There is also a $15 charge to pick up the tix at the StubHub Hospitality Village, so it's an additional $50. You'd have to be crazy not to do this.

    3) When you complete your purchase, StubHub sends you an online confirmation number. This is what you need to bring to the "Hospitality Village" on game day to pick up your tix. The booth is open 3 hours before kickoff, so it sounds like a madhouse, but whatever.

    4) You will notice that some sellers actually know the exact row and seat number. This will be gauranteed also by StubHub when you pick up the tix.

I have one other thought that I'll pass along... the thought occured to me that since our game (Jets-Colts) is being played FIRST tomorrow, there may be less of an overload on the ticket sales immediately following the game. This will be because the NFC fans will not know the outcome of their game for another 4 hours. This can work slightly to our advantage, I think (as opposed to the other way around).

I personally have mixed emotions about pulling the trigger on the StugHub route immediately after the game. As a season ticketholder, I might have some slim shot at our Jets lottery for some tix at face. But after seeing what's going on with the Club Seats, I'm also wondering just how many tix would be left after all that. Woody would only be offering a smattering of what's left to all the rest of us, probably just to save face or whatever.

What do you guys think about that? What are our chances of getting tix through our Jets lottery?

Section 227, Row 5, if you have the means, get from Stubhub should (WHEN!) we win. You will definitely be able to sell them back on StubHub if you win the lottery too. Think of it as a back-up plan.
You're right about having the early game as an advantage.
No Vikings or Saints fan is going to lay out the dough until they know.

I'm thinking you are right about this. Worst comes to worst, I have 2 tickets from the NY Jets and 2 confirmations for pickup.

Ellsworth, is the Palm Beach aiport closer to the stadium than the Fort Lauderdale airport? How are the car rental places in both aiports, do you know?

I've been to the Orland airport many times and I can tell you renting a car there is easy as hell. Don't know about the other two though. Please advise if you've been to the others.
