I figured you would add more into your "what ifdom". 2 int's were merely hail marys...Flacco threw into a position where 3 Colts were covering one man (Mason). The one fumble was after a 20 plus yard run that may or may not ended in a score late in the 4th...at that point, down by 17, it was more likely the Ravens would have thrown the ball from that point. The interception fumble was when the Colts had the ball; therefore it had no bearings on the Ravens Offense...

I am waiting for your response...and could you please base your argument with comments rather than insults please?

Rivers is a very good QB, but he is still not on the same level as Manning. Even some of your local sporswriters have said the same. Manning has thrown his share of picks this year and if you go back and look at them, probably a third of them were tipped balls off receivers hands. Against the Ravens, Caldwell said Mannings first pick was due to another receiver not running the correct route. He didn't say who it was, but said they were supposed to go deep down the middle, which would have kept Reed away from Garcon. My guess it was Collie. I'm guessing the Colts will go up tempo offense to keep the Jets from hiding their coverage and pass rush.

Every QB has INT's that come from tipped passes. It doesn't matter whose fault it was for the INT in last weeks game, who's to say he won't make the same mistake this week??

    c'mon man!

Defense always has to find a way to adjust to the rules of the game, no matter the rule changes. The NFL has been trying to move toward making the league primarily a passer's league, but there are just so many defensive geniuses in this league and they find ways to make those rules cease to matter. The Bucs, the Pats, the Steelers, all formidable defenses that found ways to neutralize the NFL lean toward a pass-heavy game.

The Jets have found a pretty good combination of press coverage and overload blitzes that can create enough pressure and stress on a quarterback to throw them off their game, while avoiding getting roughing penalties and without having to double up on the top receiver of any team unless they feel like trying something different to shake up the QB.

The reason behind the effectiveness of this defense is Rex Ryan. This Sunday is going to be fun.

What are Colts fans going to do when Peyton leaves??

Back to the NFL toilet I guess-

You guys seem obsessed with Peyton, he is just a man you know, unlike Revis Christ.

Don't forget that the Ref's have orders to advance the Colts to the SB. After all... the rest of the country wants to see a Manning vs either Brees or Favre. The Jets are gonna have to beat the Colts AND the refs.

Thought I'd get that out there ahead of time.

    :)

Peyton is only one guy... But you HAVE to admit... he's pretty damn good.

I don't know what will happen when Peytey Poo hang up the cleats. If Pollian is still around, hopefully, he'll figure out a way to get a hidden jem. Jim Irsay is a pretty good owner. Unlike his dad Bob who was a complete douche bag.

If the Colts fade to sucks ville for a time... we'll come to this board to see how you guys dealt with it the last few years.

Didn't you hear? INT's from tipped passes don't count. That means Sanchez has about 13 picks now. Sweet.

I understand that is your game, but it also provides more opportunity for a turnover. Now, before anybody chastises me, I know this is Payton Manning we are talking about and that certainly is a little different than any other QB in football, but this is also the #1 defense against the pass in the league. But your right, it is one of your strengths, so maybe I'm all wet. We'll certainly see come Sunday.

No doubt. Wayne, Collie, Clark and Garcon are all pretty good too. The O-Line is very solid. I believe the lead the league in sacks allowed? If not... they are WAY WAY up there. Peyton certainly doesn't get it done by himself... but you guys know from experience what happens when you pull him.

No not at all, my feelings are straight... I am not here to flame but a little good smack talk is always fine :)

But, if we are talking about who appears better or not, I like something supporting the opinion...something other than "you don't know what you are talking about". Just tell me why... I can stay on my board and get everyone to agree with me, but I am here because I want to hear passionate arguments against and sometimes with my opinions. I don't have to agree with what you say, but I can respect what you say...

and if thank you is not appropriate...should I say "f" you instead :)

First, Payton is the HC for the Saints :)

Now, for some stats...against the better and best QB's the Jets have given up 1372 yards 2td's and 4 int's... The QB's were Brady, Manning, Rivers, Brees, and Schaubb...

Against the Best that is Brady and Manning, your team gave up 718 yards, 1td and 1int... This was your total for 2.5 games...your average was 287 yards per game...all for a total of 55 points...

That doesn't sound like a ball hawking pass D to me...

I only know of one poster who thinks pey-pey stinks, otherwise NO ONE DENIES that pey-pey is a damn good QB.

You mean since we whipped the Irsays 41-0 in the playoffs last?

Well maybe a little...but we are talking about the best defense vs. the best offenses correct? Your D played the Pats 2x...now own up to the stats...your D played Peyton for a half...now own up to the stats...Your D shut down Rivers (as Jet fans would say) own up to the stats...going agains the "best" your d gave up a ton of yards and was exploited...but your D made the necessary adjustments to win the games when they mattered the most.

My purpose of the stats is to point out against the better QB's your D was less than stellar... It sounds more like, "bend but don't break"...

Then why take out the QB's for the other top 5 passing offenses we face? Because it doesn't fit your argument, that's why.

I don't understand...who am I leaving out? I put in Schaub, Peyton, Brady, Brees and Rivers? Is there another great or good QB that I left out?

Did you play Favre and I overlooked it?

The jets beating the colts 41-0 was SEVEN years ago. And the Jets went on to get beat by the Raiders the following week. Who then went on to lose to the Bucs in the SuperBowl.

All teams have their ups and downs.

The Colts have the BEST winning % over a decade that ANYONE else.

Period. Yeah yeah... not in superbowls... But still better than the Jets.

When was the last Jets Superbowl? Oh yeah... 1969. 40 years ago. No wonder I don't remember that. I was BORN in '68.
