I haven't read anything about any bets yet. Not that it's a big deal, I just like to see what stupid food items they put up. IN's governor upped the ante with Maryland's, requiring the loser to fly the winners flag on their official vehicle for a week. The Maryland mayor sent the food, but welched on the flag.

Pussified. The winner should be able to shave the loser's head in their respective city center.

How great would it be to see Ole' Bloomy giving your mayor a "high and tight" crewcut as he sits on a folding chair in the middle of Times Square?

Yea a pizza vs shrimp cocktail is a weak bet. Hope whoever we play in the superbowl has bigger balls Bloomberg is a billionaire he can cover his wager.

shrimp cocktail from Indianapolis, Indiana? Yeah, great deal...some shrimp that was trucked all the way from Florida, to Indy and then back to NY. I'm sure Bloomberg will get the uncontrollable shits if he eats that.

I say plop Indy's mayor right into one of those barber shops in the middle of the ghetto. He'll get learned in there. Give him one of those old school Mase cuts.

Sorry, but I'll take the shrimp cocktail in Luger's any day, any second of the week over whatever the hell Indy has.

St Elmo's is pretty good stuff... a lot of the players from other teams eat there.

Manning eats there after most games and he grew up eating Shrimp plucked out of the ocean so if it's good enough for him...

Indy doesn't have any definitive food. Nothing that I am aware of that we can claim. Other than St. Elmo's cocktail sauce... and IMO, it's just cocktail sauce. It's good. But it's not that hard either.

Personally, I'll take Ruth's Chris over St. Elmo's.

You better take a look at Indiana's governor. Not much to cut and he has this lousy 5 strand comb over.

The shrimp cocktail at St. Elmo's is legendary for its hot sauce. The shrimp is flown in fresh daily and the sauce will light your eyes up. I don't care for it bu a lot of people do. Al Michaels, Gifford and all of them always talked about it on MNF. Costas had his limo driver stop on his way to Cincy to pick some up for lunch. Like I said, not for me, but it does have its following.

Uhhhh...have you ever heard of Peter Luger's? In motherfucking Brooklyn. Widely considered the best steakhouse in the whole country. Making steaks since before the city of Indianapolis existed? Shrimp the size of sea bass?

Like crime, gun control, liberalism? No thanks. Let's just agree that tastes differ. I lived upstate in NY for a short time, and only visited NY city. Not for me.

However, I am a Libertarian, and actually MEAN it. That means we all get to do the things we like.

Culinary purgatory?... I sort of agree with that. Funnel cakesRus is pretty funny too. Great food costs great $, and midwesterners are a lot more practical than that. I mean good food in NY is more than good food in Indy. But RENT in NY is crazy ass stOOpid $$ and thus... closer to the cost of your food. Therefore you can support those crazy ass expensive places to eat. Plus, with what? 19 bazillion people crammed into NY, there are always people with money to burn waiting in line to get a meal.
