Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere but as a fan going to the game I want to be prepared. Is there any chance of the roof being opened for the game? I know they don't officially announce until game day but have they ever opened it for a playoff game or is it just normally early in the season when there's a nice fall day? Thanks to the Colts fans for any info they can provide.
Figured as much but I just wanted to be sure. I think they'd be nuts to open it for that reason alone. Thanks fellas.
I agree... They'll need every bit of help they can get to magnify that noise, as every time I see this place on television, its pretty calm in comparison to other places.
Peyton makes everyone be quiet while we have the ball. Seriously he will tell the crowd to settle down so they can run the offense. When the defense is on the field, we rock it out, especially on critical plays.
no They did not weatherproof anything inside the stadium so if it is going to be below 40 degrees, or any chance of rain, the roof will be closed. Make fun of our sissy dome team now. It isn't their building the city built it to be a multipurpose facility that hosts things like concerts and ncaa mens final 4's etc. There is zero chance the roof is open this Sunday. If you are staying anywhere downtown you can walk everywhere including to get food, to tailgate, and to the stadium
If you have a retractable dome, why would you open it during the cold of winter? Don't hate the retractable, there were numerous fans at the Jets vs Bengals game week 17 wishing the Jets new stadium would have a roof. Same goes for that cold rain 2008 Jets vs Broncos game. Alot of us on the board made it through but those were some uncomfortable games from a fan perspective.
