you hit the nail on the head... there are so many ridiculous HOMERS in Colts land its unreal... What I do expect is a fan to say his team will win and provide an argument. What I love is when the fan comes with something as ridiculous as that guy which means that there really isn't much to say about it and they are just reaching.
:lol::lol::lol: Hey kettle, how's pot?? Some Jets fans feel their 9-7 team is all-world beaters... That was so 10 years ago for Colts fans...
was it?? have you been looking at Colts message boards? For Example: Jets Getting Too Much Respect - http://forum.colts.com/showthread.php?52260-Jets-Getting-Too-Much-Respect When The Colts Pound the Jets... http://forum.colts.com/showthread.p...-Colts-pound-the-Jets-everyone-will-magically Here are two for your exploration. If you'd like more of a sample let me know. I will direct you to the results of the poll in this thread regarding your world beaters comment. What I will say is our fanbase is ecstatic at the progress this team has made and is enjoying the ride. But I don't think any of us think we are unbeatable (See Poll Results). I can promise you if the same poll was on a Colts board 75% of results would be from 80 - 100%. Get a grip Blue
put me down for 40....... but that's if you want to quantify things like overall talent, experience, etc....... There's something in the air that can't be measured....... if Br4dw4y sucks' post is an indicator hmy: J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS! :jets:
24? Baltimore got 3 and their scoring potential is as good as the Jets, so how do you see the Jets scoring 24? You only scored 29 and 19 of those came against our B team?
Something tells me we are going to need 7 points from either our defense or special teams and we will win by 3
I think you missed the point, we're not 9-7 all-world beater... We may have acted in this manner years back with a team lucky to be in the playoffs... 95 Harbaugh led Colts come to mind... Funny thing... Reading some posts dated in Nov., you seemed to be disenchanted with your fellow posters... Matter of fact you stated you were leaving... I didn't see the same enthusiasm in Nov as i do now... Its nice to see the excitement in some die hard fans, but some have totally flipped from Debbie Downers to over the top smack talkers...
you're researching other posters older posts lol wow obviously you know nothing about Jet fans........we tend to have wild swings of emotion, nature of the beast
sure...in my 10 years of posting on this message board and after seeing last year, this year I was absolutely disenchanted, disgusted, and absolutely furious (see my sig)....i don't see how that doesn't make someone a diehard nor how someone considering leaving a message board not a diehard...your point is lost... i really don't see how my personal frustration with a message board has ANYTHING to do with the topic of discussion you haven't responded in any way to my prior post though what I will be willing to bet is that as soon as the Colts aren't "world-beaters" half your message board traffic will disappear as well as half of your fanbase. anyone who has followed the Jets over the years, year in and year out is a diehard...and having a Colts fan questioning that is once again a reach and has no bearing on anything being discussed
I did reply to your post, you just seemed to focus on the "funny thing" part of my responses... I did check earlier months to see which fans are level headed and those who might be on the bandwagon... Diehards fans know the problems with their team and want to discuss solutions, while bandwagoneers love to discuss the doom and gloom of the season or talk out their ass during big games... And you're absolutely right about the Colts fan base... I remember a time when the Colts were 0-13 and all the tailgate room I enjoyed... Even more recently, last year when PM has knee surgery; we lost 4 of our 1st 7 games... I had to switch message boards, because I couldn't bear to read all the doom and gloom... I guess thats the way most will react to a string of losses, much like Rex in week 13...
Using advanced metrics all base on some form of a value over average model and hundreds of thousands of computer simulations. If you guys really believe every game is 50/50, you should be tripping over each other getting to the local bookie and slamming every underdog across the board. So, by playing every dog your Expected Value would be insane on every play and you'd top Bill Gates in probably a decade. So either every game is 50/50 and sportsbooks somehow avoided bankruptcy for decades because no one has tried to do this, or every game is x%/y%, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Expected_value
are you suggesting I'm a bandwagoner?? LOL Not for nothing but if that's the case you have no idea what you're talking about... Diehards lay it all on the line and get angry but stay nonetheless....This isnt NATO, it isn't my job to come up with solutions, I leave that to the coaching staff and the front office.... bandwagon fans just disappear..and to be honest, after the Jets beat the Colts you will probably do the same. Quite frankly you know nothing of what it means to a Jets fan and your arguement is coming from a place of ignorance.. Sometimes it's ok to simply say..."I don't know."
What I want to know is, what are the odds that "peytonmanning18" and "bobzilla" will log in on Monday and bend over for the entire board after their high caliber juggernaut gets the "dull surprise" by the Jets on Sunday?
Ill be here Monday if we lose and Saints/Vikes board if we win... I wouldn't return to rub your collective faces in a loss; I reserve that for Pats fans... Beat us 5 or 6 times, I might become a permanent fixture here...
