I keep hearing that the Colts fans are over confident and maybe we are (as a whole). I for one think the Jets will play us tough and it will be a close game. I do give the Jets a shot to win this game. As much as that hurts to say, it is just the truth and it must be accepted. That's why they play the game instead of just hand out wins to who everyone thinks will win. Place your vote.
The Jets are going to need to force the Colts to make mistakes in order to win this game. Talent-wise, I believe the Colts offense is better than the Jets Defense. The Jets defense will need to mix up the looks, hoping to force Manning into mistakes. Having said that, Manning is not flawless, he can make mistakes... If mistakes are made the Jets have probably %70 of winning. If Manning is flawless %10 to the Jets. Average = 40% chance of winning for Jets (which makes sense because they are he underdog.)
I give the game a 50 50 shot which every game in the NFL should be... Any given sunday a team can look amazing.
50/50 cause one play, one bounce, one penalty, one injury can change the entire game in either direction.
I'd say 30%. Realistically, they are a better team. However, you'd be foolish to count us out. We will be able to get some stops, and if our offense can move the ball (or a big special teams/defensive play), we'll be right in it.
40-45% chance the Jets win. Would be lower, but I think our O-line and secondary really match up well against the Colts. It all comes down to Jets D vs Peyton, and whether we can we hold them to 17 or less. IMO.
52.9 % Whatifsports simulated the game 10,001 times and the Jets won 52.9% of the time: http://www.whatifsports.com/beyondtheboxscore/default.asp?article=20100124011
I'll go with 40%, just under half......on the road, and Peyton Manning are the 2 reasons...they've got a punchers chance....D, running game and the fact that they went into the building already and walked out with a W, albeit tainted or whatever...it still helps
50% if we can ground and pound, win the turnover battle, and get a few great throws out of Sanchez as we have for the past couple of weeks there's a great chance we come out on top.
I don't see us running the ball 32 times. If we do end up with 30+ carries in this game then that probably would not go in the Jets favor. I can't see how that possibly would.
