I don't want to get ahead of myself here, I know I'll be extremely emotional. Thinking about my Dad and Grandfather who started my love of the Jets. I can't begin to describe how badly I want this game. I have been waiting my entire sports life for this moment and I will savor every second.

39 yrs old, 30 year fan, and yeah I'll probably lose it.
I was screaming my head off after Greene's run, and then just paced like a mad man, back and forth for the next half hour.

When TJ got the 1st down, I'll admit i got welled up, but held it in.
Then screamed, and whooped it up.

I got welled up again when I saw the locker room speech on SNY.

God knows how I'll act if we win next week, or three weeks from now, I feel so personally, and emotionally tied to this team, it's scary.
As my friends and family say, I am the most rational minded person you will meet, but when it comes to The Jets, all bets are off.

I'm not sure what I'd do after a win next week, but I know I would cry after a Super Bowl win. All my teams never get it done in a league championship since I've become a fan of the team.

My dad got me into the Jets when I was 7, hes pushing 80. He was over for the game yesterday for a while, it would be sweet to win while we still have him. According to him I watched Super Bowl III but I was just short of 2 and my attention span wasn't the greatest.

    Emotional?

I had just turned 24 years old in January, 1969. Upon graduating college, I had volunteered for US Army OCS and now I was an Airborne 2nd LT (combat branch) and already had my orders for Vietnam, so I was home on a 30-day leave.

My dad and I watched and rooted for the Jets in that SB and a couple of days later I was on a plane out of Newark Airport bound for Oakland AFB enroute to the Republic of Vietnam. I spent an entire year there in the field in an Infantry slot and came home a year later with the Bronze Star and Combat Infantryman's Badge. There were times that year that I sometimes wondered if I'd ever get to see another Superbowl, much less one in which the Jets played.

My dad is still alive and he called me from NC last night after the game and we talked about what it was like back then when together, we watched the Jets in the SB and I was on my way to 'Nam. I reminded him that the Jets have never appeared in another one after that, so I was hoping this is the year and we could watch again. He let the conversation go with a "Go Jets."

Would it be emotional for me to see the Jets play in this year's Superbowl? Yeah, I think so. And if they win it again? Oh man...

No lie-if the Jets make the superbowl, I'd call up one of the special interest writers from Newsday and have him watch the game with you and your dad. There's potential for a great story right there.

When Greene busted that run, I was laughing like a nutcase. Pure jubilation, I couldn't even put logical words together. If they win this game, they just may make a lot of grown men cry.

I would be very happy but ultimately our pains would only be relieved if we are winning three sundays from now

Simply AMAZING story....PLEASE go see your dad next week if the Jets pull this off! I lost my dad this past May and all I can say is be sure to cherish all the time you can with him. Just curious, if you were 24 on 1969, how old is your dad?

I will be in complete shock like I still am right now. The give the teams who are playing in the AFC Championship game I hear Jets @ Colts and it is like I am in some dreamland. If we go all the way and win the SB there will be tears of joy for sure. GO! JETS!

Almost 42 years old and have the scars to prove it. The mental ones are mostly Jet/Met related. '86 was unreal, but the Mets were easily the best team in baseball that year and did come through in the end. With the Jets, this year it's totally different because there's NO WAY anybody could've predicted this run.

    Tears for sure...
