No doubt the game was still up in the air. However, the Colts are not the Begals nor the Chargers. Revis will not have to stop Wayne this week. Revis has to stop Manning this week. For all the great coverage he plays Revis will not see another QB that can put a ball where only the wr can make the catch. Mannings greatest attribute is the fact the he plays with his head not his arm. I will take Mannings intelligence on the match up every time. Revis WILL get burned this coming game. Manning will set him up to knock him down.

    Are you on crack?
    Gates - 7 seasons, 109 games, 479 receptions, 6,223 yards, 13.0 yds/rec, 57.09 yds/g, 2 1000+ yrd seasons, 3 900-999 yrd seasons.
    Clark - 7 seasons, 98 games, 356 receptions, 4,188 yards, 11.8 yds/rec, 42.73 yds/g, 1 1000+ yrd season, 0 900-999 yrd seasons.

Offense wins games, Defense wins Super Bowls

And Manning's greatest enemy throughout his career in the playoffs has been his head.

Gates is better then Clark, Clark just has Manning throwing him the ball.

Rivers is damn good but not comparable to Manning.

hahahaha....we've been hearing garbage like this for the last 3 weeks......you're just another blowhard that will be swingin' from a noose after the Jets prove yet again why they deserve to be in the Super Bowl.

All these Colts fans think this will be a cakewalk....do you idiots even watch football?? or just Manning's commercials?

Why because the numbers prove me right. Gates is a great traditional TE, if you are going to take a TE in play on the Colts team, gates is no wherew close to Clark. Clark runs better routes, faster, better hands. Gates blocks better in the run game, the only thing he has over Clark. Seeing as the Colts dont run to much the eliminates Gates only thing he has over Clark. Clarck has been the most under appreciated TE in the NFL for 3 to 4 years now. Gates has been the most hyped TE in the NFL for 3 to 4 years now. Gates is not what he was in LT's prime and LT is the single reason that made Gates as good as he was. To many times the D keyed on LT to let Gates slip into the secondary.

Really? Have you ever watched a football game besides a Colts game? Here are the numbers since you think they prove you right.
    Gates - 7 seasons, 109 games, 479 receptions, 6,223 yards, 13.0 yds/rec, 57.09 yds/g, 2 1000+ yrd seasons, 3 900-999 yrd seasons.
    Clark - 7 seasons, 98 games, 356 receptions, 4,188 yards, 11.8 yds/rec, 42.73 yds/g, 1 1000+ yrd season, 0 900-999 yrd seasons.

Oh boy, Clark really beats Gates in... ummmm nothing actually.

Also if LT made Gates what he was, then why did Gates have a career high in receiving yards this year (more than Clark btw with 21 less receptions) when LT had his worst season of his career?

EVERYONE appreciates Clark. Are you kidding me? Gates still has better numbers, even though he WAS in a run first offense for a number of years.

In those years how many times did Gates lead his team in catches. There was no sharing the workload. LT run Gates catch.....LT run Gates catch.

the Colts' fans are just bitter...because we did what their team couldn't do in the past....and that's beat the Chargers in the playoffs (on the road to boot....twice in one decade).

again, why did Gates have the most reception yards of his CAREER (more than Clark as well) with less receptions than Clark (21 less) when LT had the worst season of his career?

I never said it wsa going to be a calkwalk. I have a lot of respect for the Jets and what they have done this year. However you seem to think the the Jets getting to the Superbowl is a forgone conclusion. As for hanging from the noose, you may want to wait to make a noose before you end up on the wrong end of said noose.

Knocking out the Chargers would not make us Colts fans bitter, quite the opposite actually.

where did i say it was a forgone conclusion? I said we deserve to be there...like any other of the 3 remaining playoff teams. We also listened to the Chargers fans telling us how their "tall" WRs and their "probowl" QB were gonna destroy us....so yeah, we've heard all this bullshit before....how about we play the game first.

Learn to read before you flush your toilet.

Were you afraid to play against the Chargers?

I love how you believe we're the easier team even AFTER we beat the team you were actually afraid of facing.

Did you just copy and paste the San Diego fan blueprint from last week?

    - Build up SD/Indy Offense. Maintain the Jets haven't seen anything like it.

    - Demonstrate how Rivers/Manning is better this season than Manning/Rivers.

    - Claim Gates/Clark is FAR superior to Clark/Gates.

    - Pout and fuss when SD/Indy run defense is demonized. Assert that it's MUCH better than statistics would demonstrate.

    - Claim after all this that you respect the Jets and are darn proud of them for making it so far, but you just feel that Jets fans are too arrogant and are in for a big letdown (despite the fact that all we've done in both weeks is like our CHANCES).

Go ahead. Follow the blueprint. It worked out beautifully for the Chargers fans. Oh wait...

    LOL...no shit.....good post.

The Jets are the most dangerous team in the playoffs right now....because they're basically playing pressure free ...and here's why:

    1. Nobody thinks they should be in the playoffs to begin with.....

    2. Rex is in his rookie year....no pressure to win the big one....he's basically exceeded expectations for a first year coach.

    3. Plenty of bulletin board material to feed off of....so the team is playing angry and with a "we got nothing to lose" attitude.

    4. The team chemistry is strong.
