If it was an unlawful arrest then you are allowed to resist.

it's ridiculous because I'm sure he spent a ton of money to go to that game, and they just decide to force him out to show the Jets fans or something.

You hear in the video somebody say that people threw stuff at him... not uncommon at the Q. I'm just curious as to why none of our beloved Charger friends aren't here to defend their city's finest.... oh wait their still too busy crying over the fact that they got beat by a team that didn't deserve to be here!!!!

I was at the game with my 16 year old twins. Sitting in the lower level goal line. There were quite a few JETS fans around us. We cheered loud for the JETS.

There were passionate Mexican-American Charger fans, a few of which had an edge. I befriended the loudest one next to me.

I didn't see anything out of hand and no security actions at all.

That video is very ugly and I am glad that it was captured on film.

I did have to "coach" my kids a few times not to loudly engage back with the opposing teams fans. I certainly think that you are "asking for trouble" by trying to start a J-E-T-S chant in hostile territory, but I had assumed that the trouble would be a fight or beer thrown at you and not the police.

The guy must have done something..I mean you don't just get thrown out for rooting for your team.

But if that was the case then the guy who got arrested has a VERY GOOD CASE..lawyer's should be licking their chops at this

I remember in 1998 that San Diego Padres fans got criticized for cheering Sammy Sosa when he hit home runs at their stadium.

I've been to college games all over the southeast and I've never seen someone arrested for just cheering, even in the middle of the opposite fans' section. Either there is more to this situation than we know, or the security/cops went way over the line.

Maybe this is some sort of delayed backlash BS that the home fans don't support their team enough and officials are willing to eliminate any dissenters to make themselves look better.

In Italy the whole crowd would jump on the police men and kick the shit out of them... not saying I'm proud but it is effective...

after watching it a second time it's clear the cops are nothing more than jackbooted thugs... the Charger fans right behind him were giving the girlfriend their #'s so they can testify for them... here comes a civil suit against an already broke state

could this really be as simple as someone texting security about a drunken fan, that escalated to police involvement? like, if the cops have the "public drunkeness" card to stand on, there may not be much to argue about here. don't get me wrong, the video clearly presents the case of strong handed cops, but having some knowledge of the courts, i'm going to say that the chances of the fan getting any sort of reprieve or compensation is damn near 0.

    1)Maybe effective in Italy

2)The crowd is made up of Chargers fans, almost entirely. You think they're going to defend a Jets fan?

Maybe not violently but they stood up for him, in fact one of them got arrested for sticking up for him. I'd say they were defending him. The fact that the guy behind him who said nothing in the video told his girlfriend to write down his number shows that something was definately not kosher with that situation.
