WOW Francesa just said the Chargers biggest challenge today is going to be playing against their playoff ghosts then it actually is playing against the jets. That is the biggest joke of a statement i ever heard. He basically made a built in excuse if the jets ever won the game today.

Why does anyone still take him seriously? If we do manage to beat the Chargers and Colts, Francesa will be painting us as a late 80's Broncos team or '95 Chargers, getting into the SB as a cinderella but will be exposed. He's gonna ride the act as long as it makes you all crazy. Plus he does have an actual bias against the Jets anyway because of how 'mouthy' we are. Although he was at least fair and hated the Giants teams that were mouthy too under Strahan, Barber, Shockey, etc (at that point I think he was a Cowboy fan cause Bill was there though lol). The only reason I've listened to WFAN at all this week is because I get crappy reception on ESPN at work.
Francesa won't even give credit to the Jets offensive line as being the best in football. Someone explain who is better? They play with a rookie QB and teams stack the box yet they still run the ball better then anyone. Sanchez never gets touched either. They protect him very well. What's worse is listening to the Giant fan or fans of other teams call up and say they can't take the jet fans, they are way too confident, they are not good. Then Francesa agrees and they just pile on together. Phil Simms made a good point. Everyone talks about how if the Jets can't run they have no shot. Well what about the Chargers? If they can't pass what are they?
Francesa is a weirdo He talks all week how the Jets have little chance. He tells Beningo he gives the Jets a very small chance. Meanwhile he takes the Jets +7.5 and says the final score 27-21. This way if the Jets win he can say, I told ya I thought it would be close, I just didn't expect the Jets to get an enawwwwmous break. but how does small chance = 1 possesion game?
Francesa is so awful He just said the Chargers are #1 in every meaningful offensive stat and the Chargers are the #1 offense Wait wait wait What happened to "Don't give me tha Jet defensive stats, you guys are so caught up in the #1 statistical defense"
well according to him the #1 stat is yards per pass attempt and the chargers are #1. if thats the case I think the QB's should drop back and of the 30 passes they throw in a game, 25 of them should be bombs. If you complete 8 for 50 a piece that 400 yds passing. Forget the 8 INT's though, it's all about that yards per pass attempt. Francesa, what do you have to say about the Jets defense being #1 on yards per pass attempt? Uhhhhhh...it doesn't mean nearly as much as it does on offense. To judge a defense you look at sacks and defensive touchdowns. The Jets are at the bottom in both.
I can not wait to hear what this FAT SLOB has to say on tuesday. waaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh their kicker gave you the game..
