If play the offesne sucks on Sunday, you guys will be screaming for his head. I am glad we don't have to change offenses and Sanchez works with the some coordinator.

I love that we have personel that actually want to be here. If anything, it will keep the consistancy going for this organization. With that being said, Shotty is no idiot. He sees the potential of this team, and knows it's playoff bound the next few years. With the amount of potential this team has shown in it's first year, it's due a Super Bowl in the next five years. Shotty knows this, especially when his rookie QB is only in the first year of the new system. I'm sure he's excited to see where this goes.

Dude, Raiders have a class of their own. Only Deadskins come anywhere near it and then theres a big drop off. Bills are peaking towards it, but they've got ways to go...with a little lol

Granted the Skins are the NFC version... the Bills aren't far off though the way they have been operating the last few years.

He might just not like the idea of being the HC of the Bills. But most people who have never been a HC will it least go to the interview. I guess he was serious when he said that he liked working with Rex.

I dont mind him coming back. I thought the Play calling early in the year was bad but it definitley got a lot better. Keeping Sanchez in the same system should be a good thing.

I wonder if NFL players or staff ever read these forums?

It reminds of a great line from the UK series The Thick of It (which is awesome BTW) where this politician says to another something about looking at peoples comment about you on the internet "Its like opening a door into a room full of people who are trying to throw shit at you" :)

Something that no one has mentioned that I think is significant: Schotty said the other day that he could be happy coaching here another 5+ years. Today he backed those words up.

Say what you will about no one wanting the Bills job, but it's ridiculous to not admire what Schottenheimer did today. I go on job interviews for jobs I am 100% certain I will not take, regardless of the offer. Because they're experience, and you just never know.

He turned down the possibilty altogether. That's not just loyalty to the club, but to the players as well. He just told this offense, every single member of it, "Guys, I'm with you through thick and thin. Let's show the world why."

Yeah, I'm a Schotty homer, but I can't understand anyone not being impressed by this.

I guess winning a Super Bowl as an OC is better then going 6-10, 5-11 6-10 in 3 years as a head coach.

I can't say I feel bad for Tennessee, with the way they treated Fulmer at the end they got what they deserved.

As for Schotty turning down the interview I'd have to say I'm shocked. Even if he had no intention on taking the job it's getting your name out there and getting the experience of a head coaching interview. It my scare off other potential teams as well. I could care less about him as an OC because his play calling kills me but it certainly says alot about him as a person and even more about what Rex is doing in New York. You'd have to think it also sends a message to the team and other players around the league about working or playing under Rex.

This speaks volumes about the fact that Buffalo is where football coaches go to die.

Shouldn't be...imagine the bad playcalls he's already preparing to call on Sunday (if we lose).
