The Jets have only lost one game this season by more than 2 scores, and their average margin of defeat in their 7 losses has been a little under one touchdown. Anywhere between SD -7.5 and SD -10.5 would be a fair line in my opinion.
I think the biggest reason is the situation and differences in rest. Jets are playing their 2nd road game in 2 weeks, Bolts are playing their one and only home game in 2 weeks. And you could also make the case that in Week 17 the Bolts played half a game and the Jets played the full game, and that was a home game for them too, so they've been hanging out in San Diego for a while now. That alone is worth a good chunk of points.
Ha. I never bet on my own team, especially the jets There are plenty of women in life who won't put out, but the jets will always fuck you
this one comes down to what sanchez we get. if he has turned the corner and is no longer a weakness we are a better passing team than that. if he reverts back to mid season form we are screwed in the passing game.
The Chargers' winning streak: W @ KC (4-12) W vs. OAK (5-11) W @ NYG (8-8) W vs. PHI (11-5) W @ DEN (8-8) W vs. KC (4-12) W @ CLE (5-11) W @ DAL (11-5) W vs. CIN (10-6) W @ TEN (8-8) W vs. WAS (4-12) ... hardly murderer's row.
I hope you're right. You really should put something out there as collateral for your guarantee, though.
Bodog has us getting 9. The other books are at 7.5, though. I'm going to try and jump on the Bodog line before it moves, but I doubt my guy will give me that.
Our passing game did really well last week though which gives some hope. Espn was saying bengals corners are better then ours other then revis and we did pretty well against them. Im not saying I expect we pass all over the chargers but I feel we could have another repeat performance of last week by sanchez.
I'm not sure how you can downplay winning 11 in a row in the NFL. Also, we are "only" 10-7 (and only 9-7 in 16 games) and would appear "easier" than the 11-5 Cowboys, 11-5 Eagles, and 10-6 Bengals. My point is, records can be deceiving. They beat AT LEAST 4 really good teams in that 11 stretch. Also, they KILLED Tennessee in Tennessee with the Titans' season on the line - I thought that was awfully impressive. You are not giving the chargers nearly enough credit.
Decent is probably overstating it. Cromartie had one great season in 2007 and has dropped off steadily ever since. Jammer's the better corner right now, but he's had his struggles as well.
It's pretty simple... if you like the Chargers go Sd and the over, if you like the Jets go Jets and under. I think Iggy is right though. They will get alot of Charger homers who know nothing about the Jets to through money down on the Chargers. My guess is the sharps will be on the Jets though which makes me smile. I'll know later in the week. If you can find out who some guy named Fezzik picks that's the bet to make. He's probably the best NFL handicapper on the planet.
Didnt you hear from your QB?? After the Bengals game Sanchez said that he needed the team to not drink the hype kool aid. Well some of you guys are swimming in it. Super Bowl and pretty much no doubt in your minds your going to win on sunday. Really?? The bengals kicker missed two easy FG would have been a way diffrent game. Yes you should be a 7 to 9 point dog and it will come down by saturday but it is what it is. Reading some of these post its like your the 13-3 team and we are the ones that barely made the playoffs. I believe you guys have a shot and you match up great againts us and anything can happen so will just have to wait and see come sunday. But dont forget your the ones flying cross country and playing in our house.
The picture didn't come up... but he's the only guy in history to win the Hilton Supercontest more then once which is quite dam impressive.
