I'd say your team clearly proved to be better than Cincinatti. But other than New England, that looks like you're only legit win against a playoff team.
indy ill agree was a diff story, well never know how it wouldve panned out cuz we were right in the game with the starters in, but the bengals tried for 2 and a half quarters before realizing they were gonna it was a losing battle...
because this seasons strength of schedule was based upon what your team did last year which is in the past, next years is based upon the way you team plays this year, which is the present.
Seems you have 2 such pass-catchers in Gates and VJ. If you watch Revis, his best asset is positioning. He knows how to position his body so those tippy-toe catches are impossible. Believe me, Moss makes those tippy-toe catches as well as anybody and he's as big as VJ. Revis shut him out twice. I'm not worried about VJ. The key is Gates/Floyd/Sproles. They're the ones I'm worried about. Thankfully, we have a physical team. I think they can hit those guys so they're not as quick.
Not really a sensible argument. If you take away other options then other teams are more likely to key on him. His stats could be a reflection of the attention that has to be paid to others.
Green Machine: "Good thing they do not face each other. The biggest mismatch is the Jets D vs the Bolts oline" I don't mean literally, but rather the ability to deal with Pressure situations in the clutch. Assuming this IS a close game... how many times has Sanchez proven he can lead a team down the field and score the game winning drive? add the pressure of the playoffs, and the fact that this is an away game... I would have to say that even a close game favors the Chargers, and if it's not a close game... I don't think the Jets have the firepower to be on the winning end of things.
Don't need "fire power" in a ball control, running first offense. You SD fans are really dismissing the Jets D. The NUMBER 1 pass D in the NFL.
SD opposing teams record 116-138, wins against playoff teams 3 NYJ opposing teams record 132-124, wins against playoff teams 3
you guys are grasping at straws here.....i'm still waiting for one of you to back up an argument you've posted in this thread.
The mighty Bills were #2 in pass D. Look where it carried them. Denver was #3 and we layed 32 on them in our last game.
We count the lose to the Saints as a win since if Payton Manning was our QB instead of a rookie we probably win that game.
The Bills are 2nd in pass D because teams are too busy running the ball and don't have enough pass attempts to rack up the yards. Do you honestly think the Broncos have the same pass D as the Jets at the end of the season?
You beat KC twice....Oakland twice.... Lost to balt..pitt..barely beat Cincy...tell me again how good you Really are
http://forums.chargers.com/showthread.php?t=76514&page=19 according to all the chargers fans we are giving up more points this game then we have to any team all season lol.
In that argument...you make the assumption that the Jets won't be able to run it against the Chargers D......the Chargers run D is garbage....it's NOTHING without Jamal Williams. And Rivers has to see the field to score points...our run game will keep him on the sidelines serving Gatorade to his oline.
