I rather the Chargers. We've had previous success in San Diego, and the homecoming for Mark back in California could be great for his confidence.
Chargers!! and it looks like we will get them! They have 31st ranked rushing offense. With Revis Christ we can force them away from their strength. They are 20th in rushing defense. Gee, we just shredded the 7th ranked rushing d. This tells me we can control ball for long periods of time, keeping their O off the field. I don't think they matchup well at all against good pass defenses. Look at their schedule. They have many, many close wins and lost to teams that mirror our style of play. The Ravens and Steelers. Cinci played them close as well. They are being over hyped by the media and I think we can smack them in the face. I'm not afraid of Lucas Oil Field but it's not favorable to play there. I think we do better outdoors in Sanchez home territory. I like this matchup I think Rex has got the Chargers scouting report printed and on his desk already by halftime of the Pats-Ravens game. Preparation begins now!
Vincent Jackson has been shut down this year, most notably a 4 game stretch where he recorded 9catches in 4 games. Revis all day.
i was lookin on the weather.com last night and it said it was supposed to rain on sunday in San Diego which would have been a huge advantage to us but not its saying 65 and sunny, but either way my confidence is on overload, BRING ON WHOEVER!
Um wow... Bums like Floyd? You realize the Chargers cut Chris Chambers because Floyd is a beast. All he does is catch huge passes. Being on the East Coast I don't expect you to know the Chargers. But know this. If Malcolm Floyd hadn't been hurt he would be the # 1 instead of Vincent Jackson. He is STILL better at catching deep balls than Jackson and has the best hands on the team. Yes BETTER than Gates. Here a few Videos for you to understand what i mean. http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-highlights/09000d5d813dbe09/Floyd-deep-leaping-catch In case you thought that was luck... http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-cant-...fc/WK-12-Can-t-Miss-Play-Malcom-in-the-middle http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-cant-miss-plays/09000d5d812f529d/WK-3-Can-t-Miss-Play-Flyin-Floyd http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-videos/09000d5d8157c9a6/Malcom-Floyd-Highlight-WK-17-vs-Redskins-2009
I wonder what gates floyd and sproles did in those game. Sure you can take VJ away if you choose... that hardly means you stop the chargers. I mean your talking about the guy with the third best hands on the team...
To be fair, they were 14-0 when they played their starters throughout. Nobody has beaten them. Calling them overrated is a bit harsh.
agreed.....to say the colts are overrated is ridiculous...all i will say is their offense hasn't really played a full game in about a month by the time they take the field and that could effect them
Chargers. 1. Their strength is their passing game. One of our D's strength is shutting opponents' passing games down. 2. We can run on them effectively. 3. Rivers can be rattled, although we'd have to generate much more pressure than we did in the 1st Half vs the Bengals. 4. Perhaps most importantly, Manning has already seen our D once. Seeing it again, after watching film on it all week, would make it really really difficult to stop him and the Colts Offense.
Every team that rested their starters thus far in the past two weeks have wound up with some rusty looking offensive units. The Colts are going on four weeks without playing a full game on offense. I'm not putting too much confidence in Manning early in the game. He's going to need some time to warm up. San Diego delenda est.
I agree. Even tho there were sooooo many games this season they could have lost. Great teams find a way to win at the end, and they are great.
