Of the three I can remember, one was correct, one was borderline and one was complete bullshit. There's no reason not to hold the refs to the highest standard.
the joke about the Caldwell play was that even if Revis did push him, he pushed him towards the ball helping him make the catch which is so ridiculous
you have bad eyesight and a terrible feel for the game. The calls along the sideline weren't even close. And one awful PI call came right after a long run where Ocho basically tackles Revis down to the ground tp prevent him from tackling benson. So that's almost 50 yds net that gets changed over the course of 2 plays because the refs fell asleep. I don't want to hear any crap about the pushoffs, those were outright offensive PI. Revis gets hosed because he can control his body so well close to a player while running full speed.
Revis plays a very physical man to man, and you're gonna get called for contact sometimes. He maintains contact on every play. On the interception he armbarred Ocho and got away with it. I think that when you have a great man to man corner like Revis, you just accept that he's gonna get called once in a while.
I thought this: was the funniest post of the thread, then I came across this: +1 Notorious, +2 Badger... Badger's was one that I actually laughed out loud at.
I wouldn't call it backlash. I think the refs were just terrible today. Result of being the 4th most interesting game of the weekend. Things will be different next week, hopefully.
One was fine the other two were such complete bullshit it isnt even funny. Of course the Jets apologist is gonna say oh no Revis was guilty. That being said it isn't a conspiracy or anything it was just terrible reffing.
no homerism here but the flags they called on him that I saw the replay on were complete BS. there was nothing there and it was more off. pass int if anything. they never showed one of them on replay so I can't say who cares though, revis' penalties mostly come on illegal contact for being too physical. when you play someone like ocho cinco who isn't a physical WR, you have to be physical.
Again, they made two great calls on Cotchery's catches on the sidelines. They were crap when we were on defense and decent when we were on offense. OchoCinco is a great WR who attracts a lot of views, of course the League sent some Revis-heavy film to the officiating crew regarding DPI penalties.
awful call s- it was like the bengals complained before the game to the refs about DR being too physical. Great article about DR on cbs - http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/story/12763453/revis-is-gamechanger-namechanger
Ed Hochuli. What else was anyone expecting? He even fucked up the outcome of one of the games last year, giving the Broncos a bullshit win. *then he again fucked up big time the next week... completely missing out of the facemask infraction by Vikings MLB - who was that, Chad Greenway or something?*
Hochuli didn't need a jet pack, he can just do a pushup with his ridiculously jacked arms and bounce hundreds of miles at once.
Revis penalties were bogus I know the Jets won the game. But those flags on Revis were absolutle full of CRAP! If Chad Johnson and Revis are both grabbing each other on the route, then EAT THE F'EN FLAG YOU STRIPED IDIOTS! It's not Revis's fault that Chad Johnson can't break free and catch the ball. :jets:
the caldwell one was fucking retarded. I hope the official admits he blew that call. That was unfair. I thought the great players got the calls?
I have said this before, but with the way Revis plays, technically you could call illegal contact almost every play.
