i think the exact opposite...possibly he doesn't want to speak in the "I" in the media and look like a prima dona so he is stating the "team" wants me back...what the hell is wrong with that??

Maybe the pick we get for Rhodes gets us Mount Cody(Trade) or Mike Iupati(Stay). Or, we have a FS who is finally playing with a reason again next season.

I know Shockey was injured but when he was off the team the Giants were better and same with Tiki. Guys with bad attitudes are like a cancer to a team, it can easily spread under a tough conditions.

Despite all the talk, if the Jet FO makes the move to bring him back next year, meaning they don't trade him or even try to, they must not be as upset about him as some here.

On the other hand, if they DO trade him....

I agree, he is surprisingly slow. In the beginning of the season, Rhodes said he was the fastest guy on the team, including Leon Washington (in one of his online chats)
