At least the Ledger thinks so. Not a surprise but good to hear anyway.

    http://www.nj.com/jets/index.ssf/2010/01/ny_jets_lb_david_harris_is_exp.html

"Jets linebacker David Harris has a ??mild?? right ankle sprain and will play on Saturday against the Bengals in their wild-card rematch, according to two people with knowledge of the injury who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they?re not authorized to speak publicly.

Harris, who was injured in the Jets? 37-0 win over the Bengals on Sunday, didn?t practice Tuesday.

??It?s just a mild sprain,?? said one person. ??He?s going to go. He?ll be out there on Saturday.??

Harris, who is a key clog in the Jets run defense, has a team-high 142 tackles, 5 1/2 sacks and an interception this season.

In a bit of gamesmanship, coach Rex Ryan has been coy about Harris? status."

Harris has been a beast this season, and with the loss of Jenks, this has been even more remarkable.
Benson will be playing, so its vital that Harris plays.

IMO Harris is 2nd second only to Lord Revis for team defensive MVP.

I'm sure the addition of Scott (instead of Barton) made him better but he sure outplayed Scott this year.

Scotts job is to take on the blockers and make harris a superstar. That is what he did in Baltimore for Ray Lewis, and that is what he is doing in NY for Harris. Granted Scott's contract makes it seem that he should be the superstar, but he is essential to the super success of our defense.

Exactly. His duties have only increased with Jenkins out, as well.

That being said, there should be no doubt that Harris and Revis are the backbone of this D.

Add a fit Jenks into that as well. But since hes been out, what an outstanding job the front 4 have done.

I agree... if we draft a top 3-4 DE next year we'll have an amazing DL!

Rex Ryan has been incredible. No way Pouha and Devito performs this good if we still had Mangini.

If he does, look for Harris vs Benson matchup. And look at the ground to find benson there a lot.

    From NFL.com

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- New York Jets linebacker David Harris is practicing after missing two days of workouts while recovering from a sprained right ankle.

Harris, the team's leading tackler, was at his usual inside linebacker spot Thursday and wasn't noticeably hobbled. He worked on his footwork at times and appeared as though he would be ready for the AFC wild-card playoff game Saturday at Cincinnati.

It wasn't immediately known if Harris was a full participant in practice or what his status would be listed as on the team's injury report. Jets coach Rex Ryan will address the media after practice.

Harris, one of the leaders of the NFL's top-ranked defense, injured the ankle during the first half of the regular-season finale against the Bengals last Sunday.
