Being a father gives you a different perspective for sure. My views on things have changed since my first daughter was born. Mambo, if you don't care, then why post? To be sensational? Just leave it alone. Some people just like to be controversial on this board by posting the most outlandish thing they can think of. "Everyone is being nice? Well, watch this."
WE ALL said and did stupid things when we were younger, myself included. This is just horrific news for the Johnson family, my thoughts and prayers go out to them and Casey. It sucks burying any relative but children should bury parents not the other way around--no one should have to bury a child--very sad !
Money is next to nothing in terms of the value it puts in your life. Rich kids don't have it all, they usually have a poor substitute in the form of parents who are too busy to spend much time with them and a peer group that has no respect for anything but money and the perks it brings. Life is a lot more than money and if that's the main thing you're seeking, if that's the end goal - then you're going to die unhappy and unfulfilled because you can't take the thing you've been seeking all your life with you when you go and by the time you get enough of it to be "happy" you're going to be too old to enjoy the things it brings. FWIW, Woody Johnson is one of the biggest philanthropists in American society. I have no clue as to how he raised his kids but I doubt they were trust fund brats who weren't given any guidance in what having a meaningful life means. Sometimes you can't save people from themselves. That's the great tragedy for anybody who has watched a loved one self-destruct.
Tale of 2 days from on top of the world to this. I feel bad for Woody. She also adopted a kid. That is one rich kid now.
Doesn't really matter how much of a fuk up she was, it's still his daughter and losing a child has to be the most painful thing in life.
Whatever you think of Woody, and I like him, it's incredibly sad. I have two daughters, I hope they both outlive me by 100 years. My condolances.
very sad. so, lets spin it in a positive and use this as motivation for a playoff win. i apologize for sounding trite, but this can be made into a positive; regardless of your feelings towards her lifestyle or her father.
This is terrible news, my heart goes out to Woody & his family. It doesn't matter how lost his daughter was, that's still his little girl. I'm sure it will be very difficult for him to find any enjoyment in the Jets playoff game(s).
I don't know if it sounds trite but it's very sad when you look at what the Jets and Bengals have endured this season. While this may not be as big of a news story as Mike Zimmer's wife or Chris Henry it's still just as tragic. I'd like to think the team will play inspired football for the man who gave them their jobs. It may not bring him what he wants but for that brief moment hopefully they can bring him a little happiness in a time where it is very dark and will be for a very long time.
Really sad news for anyone's family. I appreciate Woody and his efforts to create a great team. Everybody loves their kids, man, and I'd feel sad for anyone who'd have to deal with what he's going through right now. My sincerest condolences to their family.
Vaya Con Dios Bereavement is equal across economic, gender, age and religious lines. No money in the world could keep Casey here nor bring her back. Nothing will remove the pain that her family is feeling now. Maybe time will lessen the brutal sting, but anyone who has lost someone close knows a part of you dies with your loved one. Let?s not talk about playoffs/wins/superbowls now. Let?s put our thoughts towards the opportunity we have to instill the Johnson?s sorrow into a deep gratitude for life and the ones we love who we have in this life still. As for Casey, I?m sure she is finally home now flying with her dreams and free from the suffering that no money or status could relieve. Woody thank you for your immense contribution to the Jets? fans- in my 41 years as a devout fan the best to date. I?d like to think that we are the best fans in the NFL and with that we send our love to you and your family during this deeply sad time for you. Casey vaya con Dios.
Like her or not this girl is part of the Johnson family which makes her part of the Jets family. RIP Casey and condolences to the Woody.
