I don't know, the excitement over the first 3 games this year as hard to quantify. If the following seasons play out right, Sanchez's developement into a franchise QB, Ryan putting together an elite defense.....Things are going to crazy fun in Jetland.
Same here. I just remember Marty was wearing that Charger hat with the bolt on it, and it looked like a sad face. When the camera showed him in his sad-face hat, I had a feeling Kaeding was going to miss the kick. Then again, I was really high at that point.
The Oakland game in 2006 wasn't that big in hindsight because if we'd lost, we would still have made the playoffs at 9-7 given the way the other games played out. It was solid non-choking though.
The whole sequence of events from that day and also the entire season was simply amazing. It's something I'll never forget.
That's odd b/c we won, had we lost you'd have a point but we won and Barton was our best defensive player in 2004.
Honorable mention could go to Chrebet/Keyshawn flashlight game.. TD pass from Curtis to win the game? Pretty sweet in my book...
I loved the SD win. Had so much fun during that game. If we had a decent kicker that year then beating Pitt in the playoffs in Pitt in overtime would also be on that list. Or heck, beating them in regulation...if we had a kicker.
For me, it's the Packers game. It was so improbable. And I didn't see the MNM so that might be why I pick the Packers game
We were the better team that night, it was only justice he missed the kick. It never should have gotten to OT. Our Kicker missed a much easier kick and we had the Barton penalty. As for kaeding, I can't imagine as good as he is in the reg season any Charger fan would want to see him lining up down 2-3 w/ a kick to tie or win it. He also missed a huge kick against NE in 2006.
Packers gaem. I never felt a feeling like I did during that game. It seemed like destiny. Hopefully I'll feel that way during a SB one day. But then again....
I'll never forget the moment the stadium erupted during the Packers game after the Pats came back to beat the Dolphins giving us a shot at the division. That was better than the Colts game the following week IMO, but both are clearly 1/2.
