Rex ryan certainly delivered in giving the jets a top notch defense

    #1 in total defensive yards
    #1 in pass defensive yards
#1 in fewest points given up

after tomorrows game with manning we'll prob drop down one or two positions
but it is still to be rated in the top 5
    a great accomplishment

jets lost 5 games by 17 points ---all 5 in the last minute of the game

if we had won just 3 of those games the jets would be leading the division

offense needs a lot of work

in the off season jets have to bring in more wideouts and a new quarterback coach or a new quarterback

sanchez has not improved since the begining of the year-----throws to many ints have no

confidence in him when he drops back to pass------maybe this is his experience he would have had if he stayed one more year at USC

hopefully he will improve next year as this is his rookie season

This has been repeated here in excess. But it means little when the record is 7-7

WE Live and die with Sanchez this year and the next few years!! No turning back , we gave him a pretty big contract--he MUST be the real deal or we will pay for the next decade--anyone care to add?

As far as Sanchez staying anothr year, it may have helped, but much much dose dominating inferior compition help? He lit it up in his only starting year there. Stafford with much more starting experince is having similar struggles. Same goes for Josh freeman. This is the risk you run with any rookie QB reguardles of startign experince in the NCAA's.

Our defense rocks, but needs some youth on the line and perhaps another DB.

Our offense needs Mark to protect the ball better and maybe another weapon for him. Oh and a healthy Leon.

Things are looking very good for us right now for the near future.

Everyone talks about the age of our defensive line, lacking a big time pass rusher at OLB, a ballhawking safety and a solid corner opposite Revis. While these concerns are all valid, the defense is still ranked number 1. Our biggest areas of need to address is playmakers on offense. We need to definitely sign/draft atleast one WR and if a big time playmaker at rb is sitting there when were on the clock, another running back.

its a nice stat, but its hard to get excited about it when your 7-7. It's nice to know our D will be great for years to come barring any major injuries. Sanchez must become atleast an Avg. QB to give us a chance at making a SB appearance. If he were to become an elite QB in this league, our team can easily become elite as well. I'm going to say were going to be good next year, and possibly be one of the best teams in the league from 2011-?

Even though the Jets have the #1 D in the league, they have failed to make a stop in hte last minute 3 times this year. They have carried the team this year but failed to close 3 crucial times.

.....And the only reason most of those drives could be winning drives is our offense is inpet, but thats too hard for you to figure out isn't it.

The offense put the Jets ahead in the Miami and Jaguars games, only to watch those teams march down the length of the field for the winning score.

And then we have the 2 Special Teams fuckups. That's 4 losses.

The other 3 are on the offense. Mainly Sanchez.

#1 in D but #32 in offense? The jets would be a 12-13 win team with my boy clemens starting.

We are going to be a top notch d now and for years to come. It's coaches baby. Drop Gholston, trade Rhodes, shore up the d line, and get a safety that can tackle.

That's why Michael Jordan is a legend and Dominick Wilkins is a fading memory.

It?s what you do in the big moments that separate the great from everyone else.

I dont think its the Offense that needs as much work as it Sanchez. But I have confidence that he will improve and get better.

this really is the truth. Mark will develop into an elite Qb and as he does our great young core will blossom.

right now nobody respects the pass, and with sanchez inaccuracy to this point and inability to protect the ball it is really inhibiting our ability to run the prolific offense that we are capable of.

And the jets stopped new england tenn and buffalo in potential tie/go ahead situations but that doesn't suit the argument does it?
