Yeah, because Matsui was such an Iron Man the past four years, right? And because the offseason is totally over, right?

Jesus Christ, your shtick is tired, man. How about telling it straight for once, instead of through the warped lens of the worst case scenario?

I'm beginning to think ToonWalker was right. You have to be a troll. Because I have a hard time imagining someone stupid enough to believe the tripe you post would be capable of tying their own shoes, never mind typing (somewhat) coherent sentences.

It's lucid to the rest of us Cappy-- it's why we refrain from responding.

Yes, but I'm a scientist; I'm fascinated by that which I don't yet understand. So I just want to know the truth: Is it possible to be that dumb?

    why Damon isn't returning... (Source)
The last number the Yankees floated to Johnny Damon was 2 years, $14 million. Scott Boras wanted two years, $26 million for Damon.

And some more on Nick Johnson... (Source)
Nick Johnson will make $5.5 mill in 2010, plus PA-based incentives, and has a 2011 mutual option for $5.5 mil; both sides have to activate

How long is gonna take for players to realize that Scott Boras doesn't have their best interests at heart? He almost screwed A-Rod big time, he promised Varitek a contract that wasn't out there, now Damon's gonna get stuck with a bad deal.

so true. and apparently Damon went back to the Yankees asking for 2/$20M but it was too late.(Source)
Damon came back to Yanks at 2 yrs/$20M late Thurs. But by then, Yanks and Johnson had essentially agreed to 1/$5.5M; there was no going back

I'm watching the end of Game 7 of the 2003 ALCS right now on the MLB Network...

First of all, we are all truly lucky that we got to see Mariano Rivera. He is one of the great athletes in the history of American sports.

Second, apparently Jose Contreras was likely to come in if the game went to 12. I guess I must have blocked that scary detail out of my mind.

Boras doesn't give a damn about the players. He cares about his own ego and destroying the institution of baseball.

He's just an absolute scumbag. If I were a player, I'd rather represent myself than hire Boras. At least I know I have my own best interests at heart.

He screwed over A-Rod twice. A-Rod should've fired him after what he did to the original negotiations with Seattle at the beginning of his career. Boras completely ruined the negotiations because of his own greed. He was so hell bent on getting his ridiculous number that A-Rod would've had to sit out a year had it not been for other people stepping in and getting it done.

I could see him landing in St. Louis if they can't bring back Matt Holliday. I could also see him going back to Boston if they do actually decide to move Ellsbury.

In any case, the Yankees final offer to him will probably end up being the best one he gets this offseason.

You call Boras getting ARod the biggest contract in North American sport history 'screwing him over'?

The way I see it, if the Yankees win a championship it makes up for a lack of winning on the part of my other teams

Of those guys they should go after Nady beacuse he is familiar with the team and he can play a few different positions. He'd also likely be the cheapest. Obviously it would pain me greatly to see Delgado go to Yankees but he's probably going to want the most money and is coming off a serious injury.

I'm a shithead. Kicked my chair, landed on my sister's head. She got pissed and threw the controller at me.

Fucking Jets. I swear. Nothing in this life is worse than being a Jets fan.
