Fat chance...unless they provide propane heaters throughout the stadium.

    As posted before...No Dome=Fail.

People would embrace NYC getting the SB if the stadium was actually in NYC.

I don't give a shit about the New Meadowlands getting the SB, unless we're in it.

Couldn't they rig some temporary roof for a few million bucks that would withstand some light rain or light snow ? I'm sure it can be done for a 1-time event, question would be cost.

It could be a lot of worry over nothing, a lot of times it's nice in February. We're talking about a few hours, it's not guaranteed to be cold and rain/snow. One year they played in the rain in Miami, Colts vs Bears, for a one-shot deal in the new stadium the NFL might do it because it's New York. Even if it's really New Jersey, they don't care and the rest of America doesn't know the difference anyway.

I don't know, but it doesn't sound like a good idea.

We could hire the guy who shrink wraps boats and get him to shrink wrap the stadium

The NFL would of had the superbowl in NYC in 2011 if the stadium was in NYC and domed. They were going to give it to them as soon as first shovel hit the dirt.

Jets are outright scammers. Bad stadium, bad pricer, solution is to bring in more sales reps to push the slop.

On the other hand, it would be hilarious to see all the pussies with corporate tickets leaving early or not even showing if the weather is bad.

You mean NO chance..there is none. The NFL has stated a million times there will never be a superbowl in a cold climate unless it has a dome.

Actually, the Superbowl is an all-day, outdoor event for most attendees. People spending that kind of money want to go early and stay late and take it all in. It has become a huge, day-long, outdoor party. The SB isn't a typical game where you're outside for 4 hours. You want to hang around and really savor it.

Can anyone imagine hanging around outside in this kind of weather all day long and trying to enjoy themselves? You've got your kids with you. The kids are bitching, your wife is bitching. You're freezing your nuts off for 10 hours trying to pretend this is enjoyable? And you try to get into one of the lounges and the line is a mile long because security is only letting people in as others exit? This is why the new stadium is a shitty location for the Superbowl and I seriously doubt that the committee, after really thinking it through, will ever approve this location.

the question is when this gets shot down as i can guarantee it will do the jets and giants come back and say they have plans to add a roof in 5 years and guess what.... here comes some more psl money. no more psl free upper deck.

i dont know the ability to roof the stadium but i am sure if these cockbags thought they could make money off of it they would do it in a heartbeat.

personally i cant stand to watch football in a dome, i cant stand to watch it on field turf... but then again i really dont care for freezing my dick off for a football game. the jets are not worth frostbite.
