+1......sums up my thoughts exactly. In a year or two, this won't even be a discussion.

Like I said, In a year or two I don't think this will even be a discussion.......Sanchez will clearly be the better of the two.

Sanchez has a "look" and certain mannerisms that I have seen before, but very infrequently, in young quarterbacks. The older guys around will know what I am talking about here. Montana had that "look" when he was young, so did Steve Young, and so did Dan Marino. The only other young QB that I see it in right now is Aaron Rodgers.

I am fairly convinced and confident, based on watching this game for the last 40 years or so, that both Aaron Rodgers and Mark Sanchez will be household names well before their careers are over.

Zero as the one PI was the correct call.

I really dont wanna get side tracked on this... and almost didnt make this post. But there is no way you can honestly believe that huge 50 yard PI call was the correct call. WAllen didnt even touch the guy...

It was a bad call. Hell, the Fins have benefited from bad calls this year too. Every team has. Every year. But that particular call was a horrible one that happened to go in your favor. WAllen didnt touch Edwards...

the cute thing about you Fin fans is that its all about stats, and never about context.

That's why 90% of you don't know the game of football, you think its like Baseball where stats tell every little detail of the story.

That goes back to the Marino days. As long as he put up pretty numbers they were happy--in their guido pants, hair gel and #13 jerseys.

It's not fair to paint an entire fan base like that, all fanbases are the same. We all have our knowledgable fans and our less knowledgable fans.

I hated that call. I see the contact; it's the same contact Darrelle Revis has applied on about fifty pass plays this year. It was a ticky-tack call.

Where is the PI? Allen has his arm in front of Edwards, but he isnt grabbing him or anything?

He did enough to make a difference in the play. It was definitely close and could have gone either way- it was nice one went for us for a change but for people to act like it was some horrendous call and that there was no contact is not right.

Do you noticed him hokking Edwards' left arm? That's not legal the last time I checked.

Revis generally doesn't hold the arm like that.

I do hate PI cals when it's close though, I'm always in favor of letting them both fight for the ball. There was a horrible call in the Atlanta-NO game, saw it on NFL Replay last night. The Atlanta CB turned and played the ball, got position, got the pick and they called him for body contact, almost like an NBA call. The Atlanta coach was pissed, throwing his headset, I don't blame him. It's hard enough to stop the Saints without calls like that.

You're grasping at straws, pal. First you said there was no contact, no you're saying there was contact, but there was no grabbing?

The play was textbook pass interference. Junc proved it. God help this game I love if textbook PI such as this is called on every play, though.

Maybe the rules need to be changed, I dunno. Fifteen yards is way too small a penalty, but what about fifteen yards or half the distance to the goal from the line of scrimmage? As awful as that loss was, that game was SO FUCKING GOOD! When I saw that flag, it just made my stomach turn.

Do you have a link to that video? I didnt see the right hand in the blury picture, but it does look to be in front of Edwards arm. But from what I remember when watching it live, WAllen's right hand never actually grabbed or pulled or hooked his arm. Just got a little tangled for a millisecond, but he didnt pull back, and he never prevented Edwards from extending slowed him down or doing anything like that.

And in that picture, you can clearly see Allen looking back for the ball as well, which should make it all legal anyway...

Maybe you should have Will Allen try on the leather gloves. That would help your case.
