no dude i didn't direct that part at you. i was adding to your post about not turning it over.the bashing part was just in general
good point, how much of clemens holding the ball to long and missing guys was just trying so hard not to make a mistake. Difficult to play well when your main objective is not shit the bed.
Kellen Clemens would be a great nfl qb if he had inspector gadget or a kenyan as a wr. Dude missed someone 4 yards away by like 2 yards in front of him and continued to throw 8 feet over peoples heads.
It's not his fault, the sun in TB is so bright that it heated the air inside of the ball, and hot air rises so the ball drifted up. The real real bad news is the silly penalties continue to happen. Rex looked like he wanted to slam his headset down in anger a few times. Oh yeah, and the fumble...
I never want to see Kellen Clemens on the field this season without Jay Feely accompanying him again.
He played well enough to win. That is what the Sanchez nut huggers like to say when Sanchez sucks. Clemens was bad today. Very bad. The over throws... I've never seen him be so off the mark, and I've seen him plenty at Hofstra. He crumbled under the pressure. It was his one shot at showcasing what he can (and can't) do in the NFL. He failed, in an epic way. I will say this... he did not fumble or throw an INT, and that was all the Jets needed today. That alone is something I hope Sanchez gets. Just don't fuck up the team with turnovers. The Jets buried TB today. Clemens sucked, but he didn't turn the ball over. You watching Mark?
^ thanks Kerry Rhodes. Beyond predictable that Sanchez had to be brought into your posts. Clown shoes.
no, laugh at the little man. For he has gone off the deep end and has embarked on a crusade that no one listens to.... only mocks.
clemens didnt do anything to win the game they just didnt allow him to do anything to lose the game. Sanchez's turnovers came because he tried to do too much when they asked him to do too much. Sanchez had a great first 3 weeks and schotty proclaimed him namath and asked him to overachieve which you can do for a game but not for a season. Any qb can do what clemens did today.
Wow...I thought about that for a second Tony...and I totally agree. There were a couple things about this game that were atrocious. From a Bucs point of view....what a horribly coached game. Im watching certain things and couldnt believe my eyes. Near the end of the first half...the Bucs were getting ready to punt the ball back to the Jets and the Jets let the clock run to save their timeouts. The Bucs snapped the ball with 11 seconds to go on play clock. How does this happen in the NFL? Also, on a many occasions...KC, with us looking to use clock late 3rd and most of 4th...was snapping the ball with double digits on the play clock. I guess I was bored with the game and found myself looking at those details....I need to find a hobby. Great defensive job no matter who the opponent though.
Clemens is a backup for a reason, I think it'sunfair to expect him to come in and light it up. He played well for what he was asked to do. he missed a million open WRs but he didn't turn it over and the only chance we had to lose that game was w/ a bunch of bad turnovers. I think people unrealistically expect Clemens to be something he's not.
