How he arrives at this conclusion escapes me, just looking at the remaining schedules I would say that NY has the 'easier' run in, but to dismiss NEs chances of post season is just absurd. For me the the AFC East is for NE to lose.
God I really hope KC lights it up in Tampa this sunday, but fear this is going to be too much of an ask, even againt TB.
I do agree that Miami is finally finding their groove and have looked good at times, luck certainly is on their side, but are they better than NE ?

Yeah, this seems pretty reasonable. I'm not sure I agree with the argument that the Pats will completely unravel, especially considering that their schedule is pretty easy from here on out. It could definitely happen, though, and if it does, Miami will take the division.

Gus, before last week, I predicted Miami would lose out all the games including against NE. They beat NE with some great luck. They may very well lose out the remaining games. Houston will beat them. Sanchez picked Miami apart in his first meeting and looked good in the second. There is no way Miami can hold the Texans passing attack. Without a big name CB, Andre Johnson will have a huge game. Schaub can potentially pick Miami apart and Im guessing he will.

The way Pittsburgh are playing, they may be th only team Miami beats from here on out. Don't be surprised if Jets win the division with a 10-6 record (assuming we win out). NE has 3 mediocre matchups and one strong matchup. I'll be praying they atleast beat Jacksonville. If they can't, then I hope they lose all the games from here on out. Tough situation to be in as far as rooting against teams.

I think 10-6 gets someone the division this year.

Add us into that bracket as well.
Valid points with the Houston-Phins game, Schaub will kill their secondary.
What a time for Sanchez to hit the bench

Miami may or may not go to the playoffs but one thing is clear they beat us home and home and have all the tiebreakers. You can shit on them all you want they beat us twice and have the same over all record.

My guess is an AFC team with a 9 & 7 record might well make the playoffs. The Dolphins have at least as good a shot as the Jets to get there and it may well be we both get their in which case I think they go and we don't. We may well have a three way tie for the division at 9 and 7?

The idea of New England not beating 3 out of those 4 teams while Miami wins out seems highly improbable to me, but hey, you never know.

We obviously need to win on Sunday with Clemens. If that happens and Sanchez rehabs and not only comes back but wins the Falcons game, I think we're in great shape. As previously discussed, if we can win this weekend which gives us hope.... We just might be able to win out against a dying Falcons team and two teams already happily seeded in the playoffs.

I hate the way you look so skeered in the pocket Kellen and the fact that you often throw the ball into the dirt but win for us on Sunday please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What was luck about our win over the Pats? We've split the series with them in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008, and now 2009. Why is it so shocking that we split with them again this year?

We played them very tough in their house earlier this year, and played them tough this past weekend and came out with a W...

Why do you think we will lose out our remaining games? Houston is on a 4 game losing streak, and havent won a game since they lost Owen Daniels to injury. And the Jags and Titans certainly arent world beaters either.

I'm not stating as a fact that the Fins will win out. Far from it. But I'm curious why you so strongly believe that the Fins are just some fluke and dont have much of a chance here on out. We've played every single team extremely tough this year, including both undefeated teams, even if we didnt come out with at W. Our young QB continues to improve week to week, and has proven to have the poise to lead the team to victory, with 5 come from behind wins in the 4th quarter, including 3 game winning drives.

Our team isnt stacked with talent... but they overachieve and get the max out of their players with mental toughness and smart play.

I do believe they have a shot at beating every single one of their upcoming opponents... just like they have in every other game this year. Why do you think its so unlikely?

I haven't watched all the Fins games, but they HAVE been lucky in at least 2 wins , NE and us. NOT taking anything away from the Phins, because a W is a W, and they have played well largely this season, but I believe their luck will run out from this sunday.

Again, what about the win against the Pats was luck? I don't remember any fluky plays that could be attributed to luck, like say the Saints this past weekend over the Skins.

Could you please give some examples as to why we were "lucky"?

The fact we are 2-4 in the division means its very unlikely we can win the division

I hear that, however NE looks to be unravelling and the Phins are starting to play their best football of the season. It should be fun to watch and hope for the best w/the Jets and that the other dominoes fall as want them to.

You have to hand it to the Phins. They are playing good football. If they win out you tip your cap to those guys. Hopefully they at least beat the piss out of Jack this weekend.

It is really simple; we have to win out and not care at all what other teams are doing. We must treat every game like a playoff game and play our hearts out no matter what record our opponent has; and that goes for everybody on the team, including the coaches. If we finish 10-6 we probably will get in, but if we don't it will hurt some, but to resurrect our season to 10-6, after 4-6, will be quite an accomplishment.

Yep. I think the odds on the playoffs at this point are better for the Pats than Carucci makes them out to be but I also think Miami is right there with them for the division title.

If Sanchez plays again the Jets have a very small chance to get in but it's just a small chance. If Clemens is the QB for the next 4 games the best we can hope for is a Bollinger-like 2-2 finish and obviously that won't do it.
