I didn't mean it like that. I meant that Mark Ingram was the better, more impactful player in the title game, so he has to get it over Tim Tebow. I'm a huge Tim Tebow supporter, but it wouldn't be right to give him this award anymore. No Carlos Dunlap was the key in that game...Alabama's offensive line controlled the game.
Suh's stat line from last night 10 total tackles, 7 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks He's not just the best defensive player in college football, he's the best player and has been all season, he's not going to win the Heisman because it's a stupid award that rarely goes to the best player
You are right, it is a stupid award, the only thing that matter's is that these players get to play in the NFL.
wow, just got done watching that Texas/Neb game, what a finish! I know I'm late to the party, but I was busy watching the ACC championship game and was too trashed to switch channels. I know I know, the ACC is the fat ugly, slightly retarded, socially inept teenager with a face only a mother could love...well, I'm GT's mother and I'll be damned if I was going to miss my kids dance recital! In a different conference and a different year, C.J. Spiller would be in major contention for the heisman, he almost single handedly destroyed our season. I'd love to have him on the Jets, but we definitely have more pressing needs and he's not THAT much of an upgrade over a healthy Leon Washington....but wow, after watching Tex/Neb I almost hate our mediocre success right now which will cause us to miss out on Suh, that man put on a show for the ages... Anyway, I must nurse this hangover now, and in conclusion, fuck the BCS, bring on a playoff!!!!
UConn is going to the Papa Johns Bowl. Rutgers to St. Pete according to the Star Ledger. USF to Canada.
Agreed. I was hoping for him to choke, and he put together a solid game. Still, in a perfect world, if anyone won it yesterday, it was Suh. Oh well. Suh and Gerhart will be screwed by position and conference perception. Such is life.
Once again pre season/ early season hype more or less wins you the Heisman. If Stanford had started out the year really hot then Gerhart would be a legitimate candidate but since they didnt really get recognized till latter in the year he is being looked beyond. Its terrible how predictable the voting for this award is Speaking of which, when do the other award winner come out like the positional awards?
Are you kidding me? I am seriously thinking about nominating you for the least knowledgeable poster award.
Man, Clemson loses the ACC championship game and gets sent to the Gaylord Hotels Music City Bowl against Kentucky, all so that Bowden can have his swan song against West Virginia in the Gator bowl. That's a pretty crappy consolation prize for them (Clemson), all things considered. Even worse to think that GT probably would have gone there as well had THEY lost...
Was he the only guy who could hand the ball off? They don't need him with Mr. Heisman at RB. He'll do great even if the other team puts 11 in the box. He'll crush the 7th rank rush defense because he's so great.
...jesus, another reason why you're my pick for least knowledgeable. [/no sarcasm: you actually are a terrible poster]
