The fact that we have no competent backup Qb is the reason Sanchez is still playing and why we are not at least 5-5. No doubt about it, Clemens is the reason he's not sitting Sanchez. I was wrong, Kellen is a piece of crap and Mr. " I luv trading draft choices for crap like Edwards" T. should of went QB shopping. What player is mentoring Sanchez? Qb's need Qb's to talk to, who does he have with a wealth of knowledge and experience to talk to. NO ONE!!!!!! Manning had Warner right? The backup does not have to be a star, just someone who has started in the NFL over a period of time. Clemens and Ainge are not mentors. We blew it right here.

Jeff Garcia was available. I'm sure Vinney would have "come off the couch" to be a "dressed" QB coach.

    Akili Smith anyone?

I have always said Chad would make a great QB coach. He's very cerebral and talk about a wealth of knowledge. As a mater of fact, I believe he has a doctorate.

I ask again- do people actually watch the games? We have a ROOKIE QB who has played 3 bad games. if it was JUST about the QB we'd be 7-3 and in 1st place right now.

The defense blew 2 games...and one of the losses in on the special teams...right? When Sanchez left the field in Miami and against the Jags we were winning. And Ted Ginn at home....

    Three bad games? THREE?

    New Orleans
    Buffalo
    Jacksonville
    New England

Four, maybe five bad games. Tennessee wasn't anything special. He was bailed out.

If I was Chad and got a call from Mike T. I'd hang up on him.

    I doubt Chad would though.

Sorry man but the D and Braylon "soap hands" edwards fucked us against the Jags...you cant put that on Mark.

Again the D fucked us in Miami. And special teams and coaching killed us at home vs the Fish.

NE, Buff, and NO I agree with you.

yes 3. NO, vs. Buf at NE.

He was good against Jax, he led us back from 11 down in the 4th qtr to take the lead. Our D was gashed all day.

Falcco, Ryan, Rothilsburger, Payton Manning? Who were thier legendary mentors? Are not the OC, and QB coaches supposed to be there to mentor as well?

    As for our GM.

He's also traded draft picks for "crap" like Thomas Jones and Kris Jenkins.

Not every trade for a proven vet works out. Its impossible to tell with Shepard because he's never on the feild, Edwards is doing what he did in Cleveland, great at times and awful at others, but overall the tealent level on this team has improved since '06 when our current GM took over.

He's rebuilt The O-line completely, added our Starting RB of the past few years and a young KR all pro/Change of pace back. Our porential franchise QB was traded for in a steal of a move, giving up a first, second, and a bunch of guys we signed off the FA market.

On Defense he brought in Jenkins, our Pro Bolw NT who is obviously hurting us with the Knee injury. Added 3 of our 4 starting Linebackers, and a true shut down corner who is one of the best in the game.

This team is vastly different than the team who left the feild in '05. Once Sanchez works out his rookie QB issues, like Ball security, things will start turning out for the better for us.

212 yards, 53% completions, 1 TD and 2 picks is not "good" against Jacksonville. He showed some promise on the last drive but was far from a world beater.

Our Defense, espically against the run was awful that day, but I'm not giving Sanchez much credit for playing all that well either.

Dig deeper than the #s. He was good, he led us back from 11 pts down in the 4th qtr to take the lead. #s tell part of the story. He played more than well enough to win in that game. Our D blew it.

I used the numbers to point out what I remembered. He played decent, but not good. He is still missing a lot of easy short throws. He still is finding his passes in the hands of the wrong team too much.

We scored 10 points in the second half. Before the 80 FG drive every Jacksonville drive in the second half had been 3 and out or less. During that time the Jets offense went 3 and out, one play for an INT, and the 2 play drive that ended in the edwards fumble. Then a FG and a TD. The played like shit in the second half till late. 2 more costly turnovers.

The other thing that killed me on the TD drive was the lack of urgency. We are in a tight game where we need a TD to go up by less than a FG and run over 7 mins off the clock? Basicly assuring that if Jacksonville gets a FG we will have little to no time left for our offense. That was dumb. You can't pin it in the QB or the OC unless you have link to the hemlet raidos, but it was frustrating to watch.

My opinion is...if you have a team that is supposed to be a defensive monster then you have to step up and win games when your rookie QB only plays decent.

He led us back from an 11 point deficit in the 4th qtr. Who cares how much time was used? we had the lead and we are suppsoed to have a big time D and they collapsed. The D was gashed all first half but didn't allow a 1st down all 2nd half until that final drive. He did enough to win, the D blew it. He's bee responsible for 3 losses- NO, Buf and at NE. if the other guys played to their capabilities we'd be 7-3 right now.

yep--I agree--can't put either Miami game or Jags on Sanchez--the jets are done for this year. They need to spend time during the off season and lose the underachievers/ fat cat big contract players who don't produce. I'm talking about Kerry Rhodes, Bryan Thomas, Vern Gholston, Braylon Edwards, etc.--guys making tons of money but probably wouldn't start/play for another team. They need to start trading down in the draft instead of up and assembling a HUNGRY team, not a bunch of overpaid twitters with egos the size of New York. Sign some bargain basement free agents, and don't get caught up in bidding wars for average players. If the GM/coach fail to purge the team of these losers or don't start getting better in the draft /free agencythen they need to go too.
