Why do you need 30 posts to look at the ticket section?

still another ridiculous requirement though - I don't feel like pushing my opinion on everyone on every subject

Good point, unfortunately they stink as far as conversation and information goes.

I understand you put this board together and you're independently owned and not part of a network such as Scout or anything else, so you can put whatever restrictions you want on everyone.

That just doesn't mean that's the right thing to do. It's caused me several problems (such as the thread I just posted about PM's) throughout the time I've been on this board and trying to enjoy the community you built.

I am grateful for your effort and all, and would like to say thanks, but just, it makes it hard with the iron fist ruling sometimes.

All these restrictions/rules didn't just appear here overnight. All (or most of them) are results of events (incidents) that's occurred over the 9+ years that the site's been online.

I understand that you don't want people scrounging tickets.

I don't understand why you restrict members from communicating until they have 50 posts.

It was an inconvenience to have to make sure I got 10 posts before I could contribute to a thread that had a link in it (although I understand that you don't want people jacking streams.

To each his own. Some make sense to me and others (judging by this thread), some don't.

probably because I don't want someone who just started their own blog/website/forum to register here and send out a mass PM advertising their creation...

30 should be the max for posts, by 100 posts everyone hated me.
