Wait a sec... so you were actually saying you thought that move by Ryan was bush league? Sorry, my daily helmet is actually thicker than my avatar's. Has a facemask to boot.
Expecting BB to be classy is like expecting Arod to not be an self focused egomaniac. Not gonna happen.
he was.. i think the ref wanted to run the clock out because there was only 5 seconds left and Rex said NO.. fuck them.. and used a time out.. good though.. fuck the pats.. its that over confident bullshit that gave them a L last week against the colts..
You can thank Eric Mangini for panicking and the Jets trading up for Revis once they got wind the Moss deal in 2006 on draft day. I'm very surprised at the drop-off in Moss's physical ability, I thought he would be one of those guys that retains his freakish ability until he was in his late 30s. Even so, he is still one of the best. Now they just need to find an answer for Welker. That TD pass was pretty tough to defend, because it was actually a rushing play that only Brady and Moss knew got checked out into a hitch, and only after the ball was snapped. It worked, and will give some Pats fans cheap ammunition to say that Moss got the best of Revis, but I think the rest of the game speaks for itself.
That's assuming Rex doesn't have a mental breakdown and is still coaching the Jets. BTW, I hated the call to throw that pass. Unnecessary, and in the end it just underscored the fact that Revis was in Moss jock the whole game.
I thought Ryan doing that was obnoxious and bratty....it served no purpose but to say "Hey, I've proven nothing yet, and you've won way more than I probably ever will, but looky here, I have some of your old players"....I just didn't see a point to it. Sorry about my dickheaded remark.
Having a CB like Revis is a big win. There are probably only three or maybe four guys I've seen play who have his ability. At least the Mangina didn't screw you guys over on that one. And let me be one of the first Pats fans to say that he definitely got the better of Moss again, despite the TD catch. I almost found it kind of embarrassing that NE kept going to Moss even though Revis was winning that individual battle. That's the kind of shit that will eventually lose a game for you if you're not careful. Go with what works, and don't make it about pride. Don't get caught up in that stuff. What matters is the W. I did see one funny write-up on barstool though... And everything that?s wrong with the Jets was summed up when Paul Blart, Head Coach was congratulating Darrelle Revis for the job he did on Randy Moss. Saying one corner shut down one guy on a day when another guy had 192 yards is like the Germans bragging about what a good job their doing on the Western Front while the Russians are breaking into the liquor cabinet in Berchtesgarten. http://boston.barstoolsports.com/ At the risk of being flamed, I thought that was kinda funny.
that bomb at the end was uncalled for. its shit like that, that makes people hate belliCHEAT and the CHEATRIOTS
I love that they went for that bomb. It shows that there is definitely bad blood between these tream. Not that we didn't already know, but I love it when it shows. I hate when the game is all businesslike, just another day at the office. That's one of thre great things about college football. I know I get really emotionally involved in the game, I am sure many of you do too. It is great to see the players doing it too. I just wish the defense game gave Brady a little some thing to say "Fuck you very much for trying" I hope it continues, it makes the game much more interesting.
I loved the replay of Moss hugging Revis to prevent his third straight game with a Interception against the Patsies. Maybe he was trying to pull some of his talent off him.
actually, I posted in the game thread....when he said "Fuck Them" it was because we called time out with a few seconds left and they started to boo. Either way, It all falls into that running up the score category...which IMO is basically stop it if you can. Personally, I woulda made sure someone got a serious hit on Brady,
I can't wait for the Patriots to tamper with Revis once he enters his final year of his deal. Then league will find no evidence of the such. a la Deion Branch. The irony will be so sweet.
kinda like all the ex-JETS that you won SB's with? Kraft didn't build that team....the JETS did... and ftr, Revis isn't goin anywhere so stop jerkin to his pic.
first off, we're hated rivals, it should be expected! there are many teams fans that think the jets are the classless team with all the tough talk from coach on down to players. yet, what have they proven, other than being cellar dwellers? i thought i watched that game and saw moss catch a td pass with revis being totally fooled. his holding revis from getting an interception was what receivers are supposed to do, duh!!! revis plays moss as good as anyone can play the guy, but revis can be beaten like anyone else, especially by the likes of a guy like moss. lets not get carried away, there are lots of great players that at times beat other great players, and vise versa. as far as brady leaving the field, it's no secret he hates the jets organization, and thats vise versa. so whats so surprising about any of this post? this is a rivalry!!!!!
??????? say what? we were never really in the game. they had us beat from the start! you can bet they're soaking up this victory and snickering at our blowhard coach and the joke of our record to date. we look more like paper tigers today and the past 7 weeks, than the three good weeks we HAD... plus, ad in they will most likely competing for a super bowl while we're just watching, and they get the last laugh! that's reality!
