dude you really have no clue what your talking about do you....i think id rather have clemens and a 2nd rounder over another fast gator receiver....because they always work out....answer me this brilliant one...how many probowls does jackson have to make for beli to keep his genius status......how old are anyway?11?12...you know nothing about football, why not just stop posting?
We had a bigger need at O-line. We draft Jackson, then when he struggles in his first year, as most WRs do, especially if he's in this offense, you'll bash the FO for taking him. As for passing on him (or any other player mentioned in this thread) in the second round, they were going for who they see as their QB of the future. Can you really argue that?
You need to go back and read some of this guys past posts. Useless, shallow, and easily disproven. He ONLY posts in negative threads and has negatives responses. There is a difference between opposing views/being pessimistic, and trolling. And when you call him out, his only response is "I am bigger Jets fan than you will ever be." You don't get more troll like.
Why isn't this guy banned from life? Honestly, this guys serves absolutely no purpose. Find a hobby....
1) Mawae was getting old and the FO would have had to find a replace eventually anyway. 2) As another poster said, 1 player can not replace 2 3) Abraham was a distraction for a new regime, he had to be traded. 4) By trading down the got the QB of the future they wanted, a late round pick this year, AND a first day pick next year. How was this bad? 5) Why is it striking out by not getting Jackson? He is a rookie, there is no garuantee he will work out. The Jets had more urgent needs than WR, and another 1st day pick next year for a rebuilding team is much more valuable than Jackson would ever be. This thread like all of your others is a joke.
He's a fan of Herm, the Chiefs, Ty Law, Santana Moss, the Redskins, the Raiders, Lamont Jordan, but not the Jets.
He did have to win more than one as he was handed the keys to a dynasty but that's another discussion. I couldn't care less about the overrated pro bowl selections. Once you make 1 or 2 then you go on reputation for the rest of your career. Deserving guys always get snubbed and undeserving guys always make it based on name. Mangold has huge shoes to fill at C but Mawae wasn't getting younger and his better days are behind him. Mangold just has to be a good C for us to be worht it, be our C for the next 6-7-8 years and it will have been worth it. Asking him to be Mawae isn't fair but he needs to be a good NFL C.
Mangold will never be a good player until Woody sells the team to an owner that actually cares about winning the SB.
