I just got the email from the Jets about the hard hat tour at the new stadium. I know they want to sell me the PSLs but is putting up with the sales pitch worth taking the tour? I've read some of the other threads in hear about the tour and I am on the fence. Just curious to hear from those that have been on the tour. I am heading over the the sticky now....

They actually called me about this. I signed up for December 23rd. I'm actually really excited to see the new stadium.
i just got that also -- how many tickets can they have left over to just give them away. Wonder if they will b goo seats. Come see high priced tickets an we give you nosebleed seats so you can tell the difference
Memo: The new stadium is an updated version of the old stadium, with more luxury boxes and high class restaurants that most of us normal fans will never see. This concludes your tour of the new Jets/Giants stadium.
I gotta tell you it really pisses me off that guy's like me who have already purchased my PSL tickets for next season haven't gotten anything but a fuckin bill for the tickets. This team sucks in more ways then just on the field, it seems.
I wonder if I can can RSVP and take the tour even if I didn't get the email. I am on the waiting list so its weird I didn't get it.
Jet's must be hiring a squadron of timeshare salespeople for this event. Prepare to be entered into a room with no clearly marked exit and be forced to watch 3 hours of video on the value of a PSL!
It's going to piss you off even more after the Jets start heavily discounting any new purchases of PSLs while not offering you squat in the way of reimbursement of that same discount, claiming, as they've done recently, that the discount only applies to NEW purchases because of "market conditions." This has been their dispicable MO and the main reason why I am SOOOO happy I neve signed up for their cockamamie rippoff.
they are going after people that have yet to get tickets -- mailing lists to everyone without tickets for 2010 - no need to impress those that already signed a contract
I took a tour 6 months ago. That describes it perfectly, unless you are gonna pay 10K PSL's, its nothing more then seats, bathrooms, escalators, concession stands and four big screens that don't show replay's unless its a positive play for the Jets. Its just big, that's all. Its nothing special at all unless you are rich or work for a wall street firm that spends money.
Do you have to be a season ticket holder to get this? And if someone doesnt want to go, are they transferable?
I got the e-mail and have never bought tickets off the Jets or anything. Can I take this stupid tour for free, not buy anything at all, and just get free tickets to a game? Because that'd be nice.
Is there some code that they gave you in the email or could I just call this number up and tell them I got the email too and want the free tour with the free tickets?
Ok, I signed up for the 1pm tour on 12/5. They also asked me which game I wanted tickets to, between the Panthers, Falcons, and Bengals - I picked Bengals. I have no idea what makes them think I could possibly afford club seats.
I agree. I even specifically asked about tours when I purchased my PSL and was told that none were available.
