On both kickoff returns he made a poor angle and even worse attempt at a tackle, who knows who he took the spot of? You gotta make those plays if you wanna stay on a team.
Honestly... Let's stop gunning Feeley down the field to kill people, and have someone play safety on the kick off. When Feeley hit that decleator, I said "I wonder who's playing back"....I guess no one.
Yep, the coverage unit was sad today. Carroll, Cole, Murrell and Smith all missed the game and those are our best special teamers. Somebody, I think it was Fowler or Izzo, got faked out badly on Ginn's first TD. I've never seen a Westhoff coverage unit look that bad.
SOME of the Woodhead supporters thought he could play every position on the field. Kickoff is definitely not one of them. I would like to see him on the inactive roster/practice squad until he can show he can do something to help this team win
The Sanchez lovers excuse very mistake he makes. But Woodhead? Oh no, he's a piece of shit. Woodhead is basically a rookie too. The KO returns were NOT all on Woodhead, it was a near total breakdown, but people want a scapegoat.
Ginn road the sideline twice. Taking a correct angle, Feeley and a number of other Jets players can make a play on Ginn, even if it's just to slow him down so pursuit can catch up.
you mean not all small white players with heart are going to be team favorites????!!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Oooooh, Let's egg his house and write crap on his front lawn in spray paint and gasoline. Then we can go to Matt Slauson's apartment and rearrange his furniture and flip all of his light switches every other day so that the "off" setting is really the "on" setting and the "on" setting is really the "off" setting until he gets so confused that he loses his mental sanity! He definitely didn't help this team on KOs yesterday! or... We can stop trying to scapegoat every rookie on the team and just remember for a second that this team has a rookie QB, a rookie HC, and two of its best players on IR. Mistakes are going to happen and right now they are doing a lot better than a whole lot of people thought they would. It's frustrating to see this team come so close only to stumble but when there is that much inexperience making decisions this is what happens. Scott, Harris, Pace, Brick, Mangold, Woody, Ellis, Revis, Thomas, Jenkins, Leonhard, Rhodes, Lowery, Washington, Cotchery, Edwards are still going to be here next year. Sanchez and Greene are going to be better players next year. Ryan is going to be a better coach next year. Quit standing at the edge of a cliff after every loss. Quit looking for a scapegoat. Oh, and as for Woodhead not being an NFL player: watch Greene's second TD run from the Raiders game and tell me how much Woodhead sucks after he knocks the safety out of Greene's way to spring him loose for the TD and then tell me he can't play football. You mean the 5'9" 195lbs. offensive player is having difficulty with coverage and tackling? Who knew?
woodhead aint shit. dude is a practice squad player at best. but it wasnt only him who looked terrible on those ko's. the whole unit looked like shit and took bad angles.
The guy has had very little time on ST....blame Westhoff or Ryan for putting him on ST without experience.
To funny how about all the dam missed tackles on the KR?? Did Woodhead make all the guys miss??? Did Woodhead make Sanchez ground the balls into the turf??? One guy doesnt lose the game for the team... How about all 10 other players who had a shot to tackle Ginn??
I don't think he deserves all the blame. There were several missed tackles on the plays, and Ginn is too fast even with the correct angles.
There were a couple guys who had an angle on him and none of them could catch him so I don't see your point. Woodhead would have been in the best position if he had shed the block and moved outside but he didn't on either return. lol no kidding. Putting him on the coverage unit doesn't exactly play to his strengths, to say the least.
No, the first KO return was all on Woodhead. He let Ginn get outside. Second KO return was 83 missed tackles and a fast man.
Incorrectamundo. Do you really think for a second that ALL outside contain is on any ONE player? A player who just might get blocked? Or miss a tackle? Duh. Westhoff's schemes are not that vulnerable.
