    Glad I'm not an O.C.

One one hand, the run has been our friend for the past few games (and a much safer one than the pass). However, we will be facing a much better run defense this week, that will not allow 300 yards on the ground. I'd be perfectly content if we were able to avoid passing altogether and just run it down their throat, but that won't happen.

On the other hand, the Miami pass defense is vulnerable. We also will likely have our full complement or receivers for the first time in a while. The question is whether we have the balls to air it out. It would make perfect sense to do so except for the fact that our QB hasn't exactly given us a lot of reason to be confident in the passing game lately. Its a high risk/reward bet. If we were able to successfully pass again, it would help make other teams respect it later in the year also.

If I were forced to choose, I'd say we need to establish the pass early and reap the benefit in the running game later. Hopefully Sanchez can keep the ball in the hands of the green men and not the teal ones.

Lets remember that Sanchez had his worst games against the Saints, a very good pass defence at home, and the Bills, extremely underrated pass defence. I think Sanchez has no problem throwing the ball if the OL gives him the protection.

I think we have to mix it up, then both will work. Thats IF Sanchez can manage to throw at home!!! Whats the weather forecast for game time?

in my honest opinion, the first play from scrimmage needs to be a bomb at least 35 yards down the field. I don't care if it's thrown to Edwards, Clowney, Keller or Cotchery but the shot needs to be taken. Let them know we plan to attack that secondary all day.

then from plays 2-22 i want us to run it down their throats....

Try to set up the playaction. If that doesn't work then let the kid sling it.

Miami has two starters out so I say pound the rock and set up play action, attack the back up linebacker and the back up corner back until they can find a way to stop it.

Yeah, pretty much. I think we should pass when we need to, but otherwise try to pound them and keep our defense rested and off the field. I think this should be our strategy for most games. Don't make the rookie QB win the game unless absolutely necessary; just keep it simple coach.

We still run. After not allowing 100 rushing yards to an opponent for the first 4 games, Miami has now given up 138 yards on the ground in two straight. We won't be able to run for 300 yards, but we racked up 138 on 30 carries in our last game for a 4.6 YPC average. The problem is that Leon was the more successful of our two starting backs, and the Dolphins are stronger up the middle against the run. We should be able to get a decent ground game going, but we'll have to take advantage of those rookies at corner for the Dolphins. Let's see if Sanchez has learned how to throw a bit in that wind.
