I just realized what a pit of nothingness this thread has turned into. Stadium smack talk.

Always fun. Never heard the Giants Stadium barb before, kudos to what's his name for some original material. You would think in 25 years we might have had that one come our way. Crazy.

You realize you share LandShark Stadium with the Marlins, right?

The number one priority for the Jets is to stop the wildcat. I'm not concerned about the offense one bit. With the O-line play lately and the points they put up on MNF i think they'll score. The defense can't look as bad as they did that night. The crowd noise will help but Henne doesn't get rattled easy. He's about as seasoned as a college qb can get and played big in big games. I hate to say it but i think he could develop into something good. But the Jets need to get back to the top of the division so the D better step up.

    Lol. :finssuck:

    Northeast team.

    60 degree weather at home.

Playing in 80 degree weather away.

4th quarter collapse... Story in a nutshell

    winning after 3 qtrs, and...after 56 minutes..

It will be less of a contest this time around.

You don't find it ironic that the only two wins you have came against cool weather teams
playing in the late miami heat?

The number ONE prority is for Sanchez to avoid fumbles and INT's.

Even on last Sunday's QB draw, he never protected the ball. It was in one hand, away from his body. He learned nothing from the NO game. Under pressure against oakland he again felt pressure in the pocket, saw the rush and held the ball out there like it smelled bad, like it bounced into a pile of dog shit . He fumbled, which was almost a certainty, given the way he held it in one hand well away from his body.

Here we go again... bad weather and a southern California QB who carries the ball like he's playing Pop Warner football. If Sanchez can avoid turnovers, the Jets will win.

I really hope you are right. It isn't that I don't like Sanchez, I just see him repeating the same mistakes over and over. I don't have as much a problem with the INT's, he's a rookie, that's going to happen. Just PROTECT the f'n ball... that's all I want. He has TWO hands. Use both of them.

Dude, to borrow the Phags Saints game argument....We were WINNING that game. After 45 and 56 minutes..

Yet, Miraculously, the Phags did what the Saints offense could not.
    Score...

    Repeatedly.....

but only in the 4th quarter.

Do you think that was the wildcat, or the heat?

If they put up 27 in the first 20 minutes, I'd say the Wildcat. Putting up scores late in 80 degrees is the Defense wilting.

I would not disagree with what you said. But it has nothing to do with what I said. I want to see Sanchez protect the ball, especially when he sees the rush and gets flushed from the pocket. Dump it out of bounds, throw it away, eat it... just don't run around with the ball in one hand with pass rushers breathing down his back. For ball stripping sacks, Sanchez has opposing defenses licking thier chops. This has to change. It's high school level stuff.

All I know is if Sanchez throws another 5 INTS we are in for some trouble, and this time we aren't losing by a field goal in OT.

I saw it. What the F does that have to do with the way Sanchez carries the ball? NOTHING. Go back and watch the Oakland game. Unless he has learned something, he'll fumble once, maybe twice against Miami. The more he drops back, the more he will fumble. He only pased the ball 15 times against a very poor Raider rush, but he still managed to get a fumble in the stat line.

He needs to learn ball secruity, is that so hard to accept?

this "sanchez and the weather" thing is overblown. sanchez played in the pac 10, where his team has to travel north to oregon, oregon st., wash, wash. st., on alternate seasons. my god he is a football player that has all the correct foul weather gear, so whats to get use to? throws? once your arm warms up, a thrower could give a shit less what degree it is. henne played in wisconsin, mich. st., indiana, illinois, penn st., ohio st., northwestern, on alternate years. so whats the big difference? henne has probably played in 10 foul weather games, while sanchez played in what 2 or 3? this is an overhyped topic. by now sanchez has adapted to new yorks fall weather, with winter well on the way. how many new york winters has henne prepared for in his college days?
