Gumbel is okay especially compared with his brother. Dierdorf just mails it in regularly. However there is nobody worse than olberman on the nbc football show - he literally deserves to be fired during a commercial break and thrown out of the studio.
Gruden BLOWS! He constantly flip/flops between who is doing what right, and how he knew it pre-game. Give me a break! The guy is all "Rah Rah" for what team he has picked to win, then, when they are doing bad, he jumps all over the other team. Case in point: Monday Night jets game, all over us until the Fin's crammed it down our asses. Then he is allabout the Fins and the running game. Guy is a complete chump. Jaws; He is at least consistant, but grudenn blows much like he coached his past few years!
Yah. Olberman is like that annoying douchebag that insists on hanging around trying really really hard to prove how smart and funny he is and every time he speaks all that he does is prove what a douchebag he is. Its like watching a car accident in slow motion over and over. he is awful. No wonder his terrible tv show gets no ratings.
Yea, They are a bit annoying and it seems like we've had them 2 more then anyone else this season but to be honest i really dont give a shit about the announcers.
Gumbel and Dierdorf suck, but I felt like they sucked slightly less today. They were miles ahead of what Fouts and Enberg offered. Last week's broadcast was perhaps the worst one I've ever endured.
Nothing was as bad as Jets/Pats when Deirdorf called Brady "Tommy" and called our QB "Matt Sanchez". That was terrible.
Do alot of you guys turn off the TV volume and bring up the local NY radio on 1050 when it comes to games? I try and do so when listening to the games live- adds a whole different perspective to the game.
It's not so much the announcers I guess, but the way they would cut away to commercials with a player down without saying who it was is annoying.
They suck!!! They didn't know a lot about players around the league and where they played and are playing now. I can't remember who they were talking about but they were way off, I know not much help. The whiskey did it!!!
i actually dont mind gumbel, i just always remember him doing the jets game so it doesnt bother me so much, dierdoff blows, phill simms is the best by far.
he also sounds like he MIGHT have graduated 8th grade, and just went straight to football after that. His speech and his cadences are painful to listen to.
I don't care if they compliment my team. Could you pay attention to what's going on the field and talk about what just happended, not something you prepared for before the game. Geez, they barely said anything about Greene's running, the freaking guy came off the bench and ran his ass off and they treated it like he was a 4 year veteran and our main RB. That was the story of the game. And Gumbel didn't even know there was a fumble the first play of the game. Wake up dude!!!
