    These two ignoramuses are a couple of the worst fucking announcers I've ever had to endure, along with Jon Miller and Joe Morgan. It is just absolutely painful to hear these uneducated assholes speak.

    I hope they never cover a Jets game again. Taking away from the goddamn beauty exhibited by the New York Jets today.

    They were fine during the Jets/Pats and Jets/Titans games.... in fact they couldn't stop praising the Jets.

    What did gumbel say at the very end of the game before they cut away? Something about seattle and 91 or something like that.

    I wasn't really paying attention but I heard Seattle '97 so it must have been b/c we beat Seattle by 38 that day(41-3), the same margin we won by today.

    I cannot stand these two. They have to be two of the worst football announcers. If they put Joe Buck or Fouts in the booth I would probably just stop watching.

    Stop it. Gumbal and Dierdoff are great veterans of broadcasting and have provided great insight and excitement for many years. Your nitpicking at nonsense...grow up!

    They are terrible, but they were actually better today. During the Buffalo game they made a number of incorrect calls (naming the wrong player who made a catch or tackle, for example) or missing what actually happened on the field.

    What kills me is all Deirdorf needs to do all week long is eat, shit, sleep, play golf, and prep for the one game he calls a week, and yet he apparently doesn't read the local papers or familiarize himself with the rosters of the teams playing. He is awful, proving once again that there is a huge lack of on-air talent for commentators.

    My final point: has anyone ever met anyone who has praised Deirdorf for being good at what he does?

    They're def two of the worst. And it's not nitpicking or being negative - I just like analyzing the media - I majored in journalism and wrote for a newspaper. Dierdorf is just dumb. And there really aren't many good at their jobs. I do like Phil Simms. Actually the new MNF crew is one of the best - not perfect but Tirico's a pro and Jaws and Gruden know the game very well.

    ^^I agree. Gruden is excellent at what he does. He knows the players, the plays, and he explains what just happened on the field very clearly. Jaws is also very solid. By far the best NFL broadcast team.
