Shonn Green knows how to burst through the line of scrimmage. I love the way this kid runs....with authority. EDIT: in fact...I may burn 110 bucks and buy this kid's jersey.
FO, Jones is playing just fine and bruising whats in front of him, nice combo. Running games are NEVER about one runner, unless we're talking Payton
ok lets no go ballistic here....we're playing oakland here... we're gonna have a much larger sample of greene possibly for the rest of the season....lets trade jones after we have to look at no?
agreed as long as greene continues to look powerful and explosive we should be ok at RB even though leon is done. it sucks that he's out though. what about his contract?
i dont understand the title of this thread... TJ just set a single game team record... relax on the TJ hatred
don't get me wrong, im a big fan of greene's explosiveness, but you guys need to realize that his yards per carry is a result of thomas jones wearing down the raiders defense. hes a lot more valuable than people think. he may be 31 or whatever, but if you look at the number of carries he had in the beginning of his carreer, you'll see he has a lot of mileage left, he'll be good for a few more years.
Welker is a good WR.....way to misread the analogy...as we were talking about the HB position. thanks for coming out.
Lower leg injury, just seen the replay again and to me it looks like Knee, if I had to guess, ACL or MCL. Which means we MIGHT get LW back for POs if we get that far. Horrible twist though
(respectfully): Whoa, whoa, whoa...! I loved the Hawkeye kid from the moment that he (and the Iowa OL) almost single-handedly beat a previously unbeaten Penn St. team (though the kicker got the props for a chip-shot 30 yd. FG), but please give Jones credit for his "read-move-to-the-left" TD run. Overall, no one's gonna confuse Thomas with Curtis Martin, but at the same time, Jones from the Bears for a 2nd round draft pick?....I'd again make that same trade tomorrow. Think about it: Leon goes down with an ugly lower-leg-bending injury......Thomas Jones (being previously traded as demanded by some) is no longer on the team. Now, God forbid Green gets dinged-up (which has already been the case in his rookie year), who's the backup? Whatever Jones' trade value for a "draft pick" at this stage of the season cannot compensate for the team's RB needs in terms of RB depth. I'm glad (for now) that Thomas Jones is on the team. Again, nice 'read-to-the-left' read by Thomas...while recognizing the "bang" factor with the 'Green' kid. .....2nd half starting...later......shotty, avoid the turnover...make them go the 'long field' please....burn the clock and get the hell outta there.....
