i think you're asking an awful lot. we'll be ok?! really?

jenkins is THE man on this defense. its built around him.

IIRC, Deuce McAllister and Ronnie Brown also walked off the field when they tore their ACLs.

It hurts, but he's right. This defense is built on showing different looks and Jenkins was used to eat up blockers. He's our main run stopper/blockage, so for that purpose we can definitely survive.

Maybe Pouha will surprise us all. He played well in the second half yesterday.

Someone needs to take a big steamy shit in Pouha's favorite volcano and tell him the gods will eat his mother's flesh if he doesn't perform well.

Not quite as much as he was when Mangini was here. Rex has been trying to keep fresh legs under Jenks, he hasn't been on the field all day long like he was in 2008. Missing him is going to hurt, but it's not going to cripple the defense like it did last season. He was probably going to end up missing some significant time with back injuries this season at some point. We have to find out how we can do without him at some point. Might as well be during a time that our rookie franchise QB is working through growing pains as well as out rookie HC - instead of when we would be absolutely dependent on him in a contending year.

i wish i could share in your optimism, but i'm pretty sure losing jenkins means the jets will have a helluva time stopping the run, and the regular 3 or 4 man pass rush is going to disappear completely... regardless of who's coaching.

He still is the difference of this defense.

We better learn to stop the run without him, like we didn't do yesterday.

Yeah, thats why he was like 26 when we drafted him. He was doing some nutty religious crap for 3 years after graduation.

In the second half + OT they had about 69 rushing yards.

I think we'll be fine, that's against 2 great backs also.

This isn't official at all yet. its a rumor. And if it is true that KJ will miss the rest of the season, thats a shame, but ya know what? Guys still have to go out and play football and beat Oaktown. All teams suffer injuries to starting players. Its the NFL - grow a set and get out there and win the damned football game.

Samoan. BTW, there are shitloads of Mormon Samoans and Hawaiians. That's why there's a BYU campus in Hawaii.
