Favre lead the Vikings to another 4th quarter comeback victory. I guess it was just another lucky hail mary pass.

i'm not a favre hater.... and i'm certainly not one trying to flame or anything. However, "another 4th quarter comeback" is something of a misnomer, as he's been given more credit than he's due in that regard. is he a legendary QB? sure. but that stat is padded in regards to favre is all i'm saying.

    edit:
and for the record, that pass wasn't a hail mary ( read: the poll posted the other week )

All 4th qtr comebacks are padded. John Elway has BY FAR the most padded and bs comebacks out of every QB. 4th qtr comebacks are a kept stat by the team and is not official sort of like tackles. Brett Favre is also but not to a crazy degree he clearly has the 2nd most after Dan Marino

I hate Favre. There I said it. His bomb after the Ravens went up by 1 pt was pretty incredible.

Amazing isn't it? The guy is 40 years old and still dicing up defenses when the game is on the line.

Yep, how many QBs could lead their team back at home from a 2 point deficit? I marvel at him.

Who ever said no one else could do it? He did it. Again. His play is a big reason why the Vikings are 6-0.

He's 40 and still playing better than most QB's in the NFL.

He is defnitely playing well, what a difference it makes when he tries but he'll fade like he always does.

Maybe you should go join a Vikings board with all the other traveling fanboys, Deanna. Say hi to Puddinhead while you're over there. In the AFC East we'd still be 3-3 with Favre.

He should be. Weaker conference, weaker sched so far, ready made team w/ a system he knows.

    Haha - we'd be 3-3 still with Favre? That's a joke.

I bleed green. Doesn't mean I can't be a fan of other players in the league.

How many points do you need to be behind for it to be considered a comeback? Last i checked, and somebody can double check my research on this one, you can still lose a football game by one point.

It wasn't a pretty win. The defense played like ass, they took too many trips to the red zone only to come up with three points, and the game winning drive for MN was actually thanks to Baltimore and their missed FG. But either way, Favre led them downfield to score on the previous drive while they trailed to put some points on the board and regain the lead.

Late 4th quarter, trailing, your QB marches you downfield to score. It's called a comeback. 1 point or 27,000 points. I don't care if it's Favre, Elway, or Matt freaking Stafford. It's a comeback.

to your point, a lot of his 42 or 43 or what have you weren't comebacks or had little to do with him. but again, as someone already mentioned, its a stat that is kept not by the league
