Agreed that the Collins thing was ridiculous especially because he was playing putridly. Don't agree with you on Brady. Belichick took him out in the 3rd quarter. Players just about never leave games earlier than Brady left today's game, unless, of course, they get injured.
People complaining about Bellichick running up the score are just whining for the sake of whining about the Pats. It's the NFL. The NFL. NFL.
Matt Ryan hits a wide open Tony Gonzalez in the end zone, and Atlanta goes into halftime up 14-7. Chicago scored first, but Atlanta answered twice.
Brady cam out after the 1st series in the 3rd qaurter. And kicking the FG would be running it up. If you've got your backup QB in, you want to see if he can play. BTW, the Titans had no problem with the Pats today.
It's just sour grapes from Patriots-haters. The only thing unethical about the game is that the Titans coaching staff and players will probably keep their money from today's game. They sure as hell don't deserve it.
I fucking froze to death today and did not see the snow coming at all. Vince Young had the most passing yards today for the Titans with 0 yards while Kerry Collins actually managed to have -7.
I think it will stand it was pretty clearly a forward pass, as Coliins was at least 2 yards behind him.
What would you do if your team kept getting the ball on turnovers on the other team's half of the field in the second quarter? Take a knee three times and punt? Don't you think that would be a little more disrespectful to the opponent? It was 45-0 at halftime. It's impossible to "run up the score" before the half is even over. I love it when the haters make themselves look like hapless fools...
Collins fumbled a reverse and by the time he picked up the ball the end was actually a step in front of him. So he shoveled it forward to him and the guy got hit fumbled and recovered for a 22 yard loss. This added to the 15 yard completion (only 2 on the day)....
That has to be some sort of record. Never heard of it before. I knew Finnegan was out, and Collins has been struggling but damn. What a nightmare season for the Titans.
Eli has plantar fasciitis, but he threw his last pass 2:12 into the second quarter last week. No one is suggesting that they take knees. What I would do is pull as many starters as I could at halftime, and then run the ball more often than not.
Haha, Jim Hardy. Threw 6 TDs in a game, but is probably better known for the 8 INTs the week before. I looked it up. Hardy threw one in the first, three in the third, and two in the fourth. So he wasn't close. Chicago won 55-13, despite trailing 13-7 at halftime. Quite a halftime turnaround, eh? I don't think anyone threw for five touchdowns in a quarter in 1950.
It could be that they know their running game sucks and they didn't want to expose it for future opponents' knowledge.
Never said anything about taking a knee...but you also don't have to go for it on 4th down when you're up by over 40 points.
so onto monday night ... Adam_Schefter Broncos and Chargers fighting 40 minutes before kickoff. Rare on field fracas before kickoff. Wow. Should be a great game!2 minutes ago from web
