Call it coincidence or not, the jets are 3-0 for 1:00 games and 0-3 for 4:00 games and the Monday night game. I know this has been brought up many times on this board, but it still amazes me how strong of a correlation there spears to be. Of course correlation does not necessarily mean causation, but the facts are there. Next week we play the Raiders at 4:00, so we'll see what happens. It just amazes me...

Set myself up for that one. In all seriousness, you can't actually think the time of the game is why they've lost 3 in a row. If you want to be technical, the game time in Oakland is at 1 pm local time so they have to win that one right?

Didn't we beat the Patriots on Thursday night last year? Thats the only game i can remember us winning that wasn't at 1.
But yeah for some reason the Jets haven't been able to win games past 1 o clock. I don't know what it is, it just doesnt make sense. We can only hope they turn it around against Oakland next week.
was a thursday game not a weekend game. I guess that technicality may count. its a shockingly odd stat, and a sad one. they gotta break it somehow. A healthy team might do it next week, but this hobbled team makes any game a toss up. Sad, all those starters hurt. Its the fucking raiders.
last year the jets did mention that game time has a slight effect, you wake up different times, practice different times, eat different, etc. The same with west coast games (a la last year)
Yea hopefully they can change it next week. I feel that Sanchez just needs something to build back his confidence. He's still young and we all knew he would have games like this. I guess we all had our hopes up to high after the first 3 games and didn't realize that he would eventually hit a wall. Live and Learn for Sanchez. Future looks good to me
This curse is true. when we choked down the stretch last year and went 1-4 all of the 4 loses were at 4 oclock. we also lost to the raiders that was at 4 ok thats 5 loses. The home opener against the pats 4 OCLOCK GAME. and the monday nite against the chargers a loss. so WE LOST 7 GAMES LAST YEAR ALL LATE AFTERNOON OR MONDAY NIGHT!!!!!!!!!! including the last 3 im tellin u something is up with this!!!!
How far does this supposed curse go back? Rich Kotite won 4:00 games as Jets head coach (vs Seattle in 1995 and Arizona in 1996; was the Dolphins win in 1995 a late one, too?). The Jets won in San Diego three times during the Pennington era. The Jets won in Oakland in 2001 and 2003.
Ok cool so if we win all the 1 games we will be 9-6. So that thursday nighter in toronto will be huge deciding this season. 10-6 would be a good record.
